    Loss in fuel mileage?

    I've noticed a drop in fuel mileage in the cold, does anyone else experience this? I also put on 4" exhaust and shimmed the FPR....nice drop in mpg there. Thought I'd share, Jesse

    regular maintenance for 7.3 reg cab diesel ?

    I bought mine at 172k, it now has 196k. Just recently I had to replace balljoints and while I was in did axle seal, hub o-ring, and vacuum seal (for ESOF truck). I change the oil every 5k, but have never checked the SCA...maybe I should. Welcome to the site. Jesse

    Ball bearing for FPR shim?

    I ended up using #2 washers instead of the #4. They were much smaller and required less grinding. My fp is now 74, is that ok? I put about 50 miles on it and no leaks. Thanks, Jesse

    Can't find washers small enough to fit in the FPR and I don't have the dexterity to grind down something that small, so I was wondering if anyone has used a ball bearing, maybe 3/16"ish, under the spring to shim it up? Seems much easier, but not as adjustable if the pressure isn't desirable...

    FPR shim problem, gauge adapter?

    I tried two different kits and none had the adapter for the fuel pressure test port on the high side of the filter housing as used in the Wiki. The kits said don't use diesel so I assumed that's why they didn't include the diesel adapter. Is there someplace/someone that will sell/let me borrow...

    Will the caliper/bracket interchange? So the ID of the 99 rotor is 1/8" smaller than the 99.5? Tbar's hub looks exactly like mine... Jesse

    I also thought to replace the shocks, but I don't want to until I fix the problem, the good shocks will make it harder to pinpoint. As for the springs, is it normal for a diesel to sag after 192k miles? The build date is Sep 98, so could it be possible they put F-150 front springs not made for...

    I'll check that. They aren't that wore out, to the point that the truck bounces, but it does sag to the left. And the intermittent grating noise that I can feel in my floor pans?
