AC switches to dash when in 4x4?

I hooked a vacuum pump to the line going into the hubs, both hubs held a vacuum...where do I check next? Jesse

Cleaned intercooler piping boots, found lots of oil?

I am beginning to like the idea of running it under the truck, unless someone can tell me if there is any threat of the exhaust backflowing into the intake. I installed something similar to this on my racecar and had to have a check valve. Jesse

Cleaned intercooler piping boots, found lots of oil?

No worries of the exhaust backflowing into the intake?

Help reducing clacking noise under hood

I just found out that I could possibly have a van turbo, I have no EBPV, the intake diameter is smaller (all the early 99 crap) so I am thinking 450 is is waste of money if I am never to grow into needing all that fuel (correct me if you think it is worth the 450). I am for now just going to do...

Cleaned intercooler piping boots, found lots of oil?

My boots were leaking so I took them off to clean them and found a moderate amount of standing oil in the boots. I say moderate, but I really have no idea what is normal for the trucks. The reason I post this is because I wanted to do the mod that eliminates the PCV going into the intake tube...

Help reducing clacking noise under hood

So I either do the hutch or the external regulator? I could just do the hutch and get the same effect for waaaaay cheaper? Jesse

    Difference between 99 and 99.5?

THe early van ones don't have an EBPV? Are they any better/worse than a truck turbo? Jesse

    Difference between 99 and 99.5?

Yeah, that turbo doesn't look like mine. Mine says 1.10 A/R at the compressor outlet. I just don't uderstand why my truck doesn't have the EBPV...It wouldn't be so bad if I hadn't already put the switch in my dash and wired everything.... Jesse

    Difference between 99 and 99.5?

It's official...my truck has no EBPV. I just found the plug tucked in with a factory-style cap on the end. I also saw that my filter housing says remanufactured and the turbo compressor looks semi-new... is there any way I can find a turbo ID picture to find out which turbo I have? Jesse

Help reducing clacking noise under hood

What size hose is it? Is that all there is to it, remove hose, go buy fuel line and 4 hoseclamps and be done with it? Jesse

Help reducing clacking noise under hood

This noise is unbearable and I've heard that doing certain mods will reduce the clatter I hear in the cab. I can notice a distinct clacking noise on the driver's side front of the motor, sounds like a dull metal on metal, any thoughts on that? Maybe I've been more anal now that I've heard it...

Well...I looked and looked and searched and looked and have come to the realization...unless after 97 they moved the plug for the EBPV, I don't have one. Anyone have any knowledge of this? Jesse

Well, then I need some help locating the plug...happen to have any pics? I looked for it behind the intake pipes, facing forward, mounted on the turbo pedestal, below the compressor...any help? Jesse

    Difference between 99 and 99.5?

Ok, trying to do the EBPV mod, and can't find the EBPV...Looked for a plug on the front side of the compressor side of the turbo mounted to the turbo pedestal...can't find it. Did early 99's have an EBPV? Jesse

ttt, Does an early 99 even have an EBPV? I'm having trouble finding it, I've got everything else wired. Jesse

    Difference between 99 and 99.5?

In other words, keep up the cheap/free mods that will work well with my Superchips programmer and save up for a later model. Sound about right? Jesse

    Difference between 99 and 99.5?

greeeeat. So I need a 99.5+ turbo housing, inj, and pcm and I'm set? or will I not need the pcm if I go with a tune? Are the cold-side pipes the same size? Thanks, Jesse

    Difference between 99 and 99.5?

Someone suggested that I get a Wicked Wheel, but I read somewhere else that a Wicked Wheel is just an early 99 impeller...anyone in the know care to comment? Jesse

    MPG question...

All I've got is a Superchips programmer and I get 17-18 on the highway, and about 16 in town (I say town instead of city, mine's a little less stop-n-go) Jesse

    exhaust brake

To slow of a speed and the truck will buck (at least my car does), but the EBPV will have no exhaust to constrict at slower speeds. Jesse

    exhaust brake

The EBPV doesn't need to be hooked up to the PCM, as long as the grey/red wire is getting a 12v signal and the other one is getting a ground, it will close. As for the TCC, I did some research and it is the purple/yellow (or blue/orange if it is faded) wire that sends a ground to the TCC to...

You send a signal to the TCC wire through the diode. On my 4R70W, it's a grounded signal, I need to know which wire and if it is grounded like my 4R. Dieselpwrdredneck, do you remember how you wired the switch? Jesse

    exhaust brake

I understand the concept and have all of the parts, but I am lost on which wires hook up to which terminals on my switch. Mine is a vertical DPDT center off switch with 6 terminals and I will not be hooking up the lights. Can someone assist me on which terminals have continuity? Also, which...
