    I replaced that when I first bought the truck. Talk to Jody and he said it could be a part of the SCMT tune. I'm going to take the programmer off and see if it does it. I've never driven the truck stock...this will be interesting. Jesse

    Talked to Jody and in 02 they made a bunch of changes to the PCM and it will NOT work. The dash cluster will not work, AC will not work, and the CEL will be on all the time. The correct code to look for is DPC-422. He did tell me about the reflash...something I am going to consider. Jesse

    So basically, the programmer potentially has a better tranny tune already in it that can be used when I put in the new 99.5 PCM? Will installing a new PCM mess up any other functions assuming both are cal'd for 4x4, auto, and 7.3? In other words...win win I need to get one? Jesse

    So geo, the Windstar fan came with a bigger motor and you had to buy two smaller motors to fit in the Windstar shroud? Are those smaller motors the Ford/Siemens Deka motors that are on the Mark VIII and Taurus? Jesse

    The SCMT is meant for 99-03 7.3, so I'm sure it will work. But, I'm just wondering if I will notice any difference (keeping the programmer on the same setting, etc) by just switching from 99-99.5. I'm afraid that your results are better because the DP tune is superior to the Banks tune. Did...

    But do you think the improvements will be as noticeable behind the SCMT? I don't think the SCMT changes tranny logic...maybe someone knows? Do you think the program on that new PCM is what made the difference or the PCM itself? Jesse

    Took mine off a few weeks ago. I'm in northern VA and the temps have been 30-75. I even towed a mustang to the track 1.5 hours there and back, no worries unless in stop and go and the converter can't lock up. The 75* day wasn't good on the ac at redlights. I'm in the process of wiring up two...

    OD "off" light flashing

    Replace the rear abs sensor in the rear diffferential housing. If you notice, when that light is flashing, your speedo doesn't work. Mine did the same thing...$10 part and 15 minutes. Jesse
