    I think youd be disappointed in the power of the 7.3. on the 2006 6.0L id be looking for an oasis report...check for signs of coolant puke (white crusty deposits). The only real problem w/ the 05-07s is the HPOP connector bracket and if it hasnt already been repaired youll want that...

    how many bolts are in that thing...like 6 or 8 arent there ? was there any SLOP in the axle w/ the bolts missing ? any signs of rear lube/fluid leak, (have you checked the fluid level) ? my guess is youre fine.

    damm ! as if oil prices werent bad enough ;) ! My only experiance, thankfully, was a time when i didnt get the filter tight enough (on an chebie i owned) and it pucked out several quarts of oil. I didnt need any kitty litter cause i was on a GRAVEL driveway :eek:

    but have you added a coolant filter ? from what ive read when the techs @ the dealer re-assemble after a repair like yours <oil coolers, egr cooler & head gaskets> theyre dropping stop leak into the coolant.
