    id start by looking at the egr cooler, since that seems more common... while youre in there give a close look at the oil cooler to see if its coolant flow is resticted (the restricted flow of coolant thru the oil cooler may have caused the egr cooler to over heat & crack...lord knows you...

    assumsing its a bolt on version (on my 2004 it is) but some folks ADDED this feature using the "stick on version" you could pull it off or pull the battery if its the stick on version. other wise remove the door panel and disconnect it as Barrett says.

    the egr that i have on my truck is the same p/n (and its been on there since...god knows) if the "bad" ones are identified by p/n only they were in a world of hurt...cause they ALL have those part numbers.

    Hummm if it were just one tank i'd suspect it to be the sending unit...doesnt seem likely that BOTH sending units in BOTH tanks are bad. just thinking out loud here but generally if the resistance is LOW the tank should show full...in your case it sounds like the resistance is close to...

    Oil in my new exhaust??

    could have been anti corrosive coatings inside the new exhaust plumbing. could be blow-by (crank case venting) could be ring wear (blow by) could be fuel from leaking injectors or over fueling
