    bouncing down new smooth roads....

It happens on new / almost new concrete roads. near perfest conditions. All the vehicles around me are riding smooth. I've driven commercial trucks on these same sections of road and they don't bounce, so it can't be a symptom of stiff suspension. I see chevy and dodge 3500's near me with no...

    bouncing down new smooth roads....

Has anyone come up with a solution to the SC & CC bounce that occurs on smooth roads for some reason. I think there is a service advisory out there somewhere but I was looking for someone who actually solved it, not just a list of things for the dealer to try. I'm out of 3/36 warranty and don't...

Ipod Interface - 6 disk factory indash CD

A 06 6 disc should have a "aux" button? If so you need this. Precision Interface Electronics FRD04-AUX Adapter Add an auxiliary input to your 2004-up Ford factory stereo at Crutchfield.com If not, I would use that as an excuse for a new head unit, then use the head for an excuse for...

    stolen truck

I was thinking of using a upfitter switch to disable mine, maybe 2, say #1&4 must be on & each would disable a different system if off. Any alarm system will be a joke to a professional. Alarms only stop amateurs thieves. You need to come up with your own so they don't know what they're looking...

The Best Things You Have Found On The Road

$2000 snowblower. :D  :D I used to drive a semi delivering food to chain restaurants at night. I had keys to all my stops so I started about midnight. December 23rd about 5 years back I was cruising down the highway after a good snow storm and noticed a skid mark veering off into the...

    auxilary fuel tank

I would never spend 800-1200 on a 20 gallon gain. (58) the only way I would do it would be the 90 something in the bed tank. I guess it depends on your bed usage and what you want for your money. 1000 for a 20 gallon gain compared to stock is 50$ a gallon. Not worth it to me.

    Tow/Haul Button

Is the light on the shifter or the dash? Is the function gone or just the light out? My light on the 03 went out at 30K but the T/H feature still worked so I didn't mess with it. dealer said the whole shaft had to be replaced to get the light working again.

stay with 6.0 or go to 6.4???????

My vote is for wait. Personally I wouldn't consider one until the 2010 model year. Remember it took 2+ years to work the bugs out of the 6.0

    Help <trailer guys>

2 suggestions: 1. look at the joint where the 2 plastic parts of the light are fused together. Are there any sharp corners that could be snagging the rubber on the way in? If so, cut them away with a utility knife, lube it and try again. 2. There are lots of members in TX. Try hosting a "I...

    Help <trailer guys>

Had that issue once. I used windex for lube and started at the end, that lets you hold the rubber in place for some of the time.

Please help - need to tow more!

That's all the 250 is good for 10.6K that seems low. What about gears? If I had a 3:73 and need more capacity wouldn't changing to a 4:10 or 4:30 be helpful?? Your mileage doesn't seem that bad for running ar full capacity. I get 11 towing 7k daily, it's just an oversized cargo trailer & not...

Spray on liner not in bed?...

Anyone have any experience in spray on liners (rhino, line-x) on the outside of your truck or trailer??? Just an FYI on fuel prices. The Fast Track station at 6800 Highland Road, Waterford (north side of M-59 by the airport) was at 2.67 as of yesterday (4/17). 2 weeks ago they were @ 2.54 Since the average costs I see is 2.95-3.20 currently, if you get within 5-10 miles of this station it's...
