Need to lower the back of the rear seat.

Find some old couch cushions and cut the foam inside them to fill that area. Or if you come across a foam store/factory, have some custom cut. It's not your truck anyway, it's Luke's! :D

New method for adding links to posts...

Love the new way links are added in posts! I was getting pretty annoyed with "would you like to temporarily allow this control to run" message "IE" was sending every time I added a link. THANKS :hail

    FS-2500 bypass filter system

Bump... UPDATE::::: Checked the oil today. 4000 miles since the FS install and I can hardly see a difference in color between used and new rotella. :D :D :D Pre-FS the oil was black as tar by 2000 miles of use. Found this MOD someone did to eliminate the oil pan return line. FS says they...

Need to lower the back of the rear seat.

Another thought Maxtor You have an XLT. The Lariat, KR & Harley versions may have a fold down seat when you may not. So don't spend too much time looking if the only people saying you have a handle are driving one of the other trim packages.

    Q on brakes and rotors

I would guess that's a standard statement the shop tells everyone. All they need is a handful of people to say "well as long as I'm here, let's just do them now" to pay the bills. If you're concerned, find a small local shop you can trust to be honest about what you really need. Lots of guys...

    toyo open country tires

Don't know about the price. But my wife's truck is on it's third set of OC. They have been OK on wear and we only paid for the first set. My friend, a manager at a chain tire/ misc store warrantied the next 2 sets of 4 when she brought it in for oil changes. He said he wasn't happy with the...

Need to lower the back of the rear seat.

My 03 with that body style didn't come down. If the jack is accessible from under the rear seat I would say you have a ridgid back. ON my 06 CC there IS a lever. But the 03 SC had nothing.

    Decals for trailer?

I have a sign shop do any lettering / logoing I need. The cost isn't terrible and the choices are endless. Just create what you want on your computer and send it in. After they finalize it for you stop by and pick colors. What did you have on the trailer? What are you thinking about?

2 Stroke oil as a diesel additive???

Not much better in the LP. Last year I burned 7K in fuel and only found Bio at 4 stations. I do love the smell of 2 stroke motors!! :D Can we make my 6.0 smell like them? :sweet

    O6E17 Recall and EGR crap!!!!!

The Ford tech that worked on mine said after 06E17 the motor and trans had to relearn. If that's the fact think about this. You remove your aftermarket, take it to the dealer, dealer flashes, truck relearns on your way home without aftermarket , you get home and reinstall the aftermarket, truck...

    O6E17 Recall and EGR crap!!!!!

I think (don't quote me) it only applied to 03-04 6.0 motors. Just a different programing sceme. Some say it wrecked their truck, other say it helped. My 03 ran better after the reflash. If it applied to you? You should have receive something in the mail last year.

    Sad day last week...

We were going through some old pics and found some of my first big truck. 96reg cab XLT gasser. Only had it for 6-8 months, then found myself jobless and worried about payments. Damn I wish I would have kept it. Would be a nice toy to have around now! Very depressing :( :( :( :( :( I miss...

    Trans noise...

If so... why wouldn't they tell me about it?? Where is it? Could it have caused more problems if it failed, or came off?

    Trans noise...

MPG is 15-16 (empty) & 11-12 (towing). Seems to be running normal. Fluid OK. No filter change yet. Happens on accel only. I have the standard CC driveline shutter on hard accel while towing. Also, since new I had another issue http://www.superdutydiesel.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7542 Dealer...

    Trans noise...

I'm a windows up person so I may have had this noise since new. (now at 30K) The last couple days I've been riding with the windows down and notice a driveline howl up to 40 mph. The pitch changes W/ the gears so I assume it's in the trans. Any others with the TS trans hear it???

    towing?

I find it very useful when stopping a trailer. When accelerating or at steady speeds of 40 or less it just annoys me. It seems to stay in some gears much longer than needed. On acceleration, all it appears to do is shift late and waste fuel. FYI: I only pull 7K

    gas in 6.0 Powerstroke :(

"IF" you let her use it again. Tell her to just grab the pump with the greasy grip. If it's not clean, that's the one she wants. My wife took mine on a trip last year. (so she could fit all her posse in one vehicle) I didn't sleep well thinking about her fueling it. The "Your truck is running...

    2006 psd steering wheel shaking

Mine is all over too but only when running empty & not towing. Since I tow most of the time, I really don't notice. When I take a trip without a trailer I lower the tire pressure. Give 50 PSI a shot on all 4 tires if you're not loaded down. That should help the tires take some of the hit for you.

    ? 10W/30 in the 6.0

I only bring it up cuz my wife (who notices nothing normally) Said it appeared to be running much quieter since the oil change. It seemed to be making a lot of noise to me previously, but I assumed I was just nutts.

    ? 10W/30 in the 6.0

I was removing the dealer oil change sticker and noticed in very small print that the sticker said 10W/30. Is there a 10W30 motorcraft oil w/ the CH-4 rating or did I drive my truck for 5K with the wrong oil???
