    I always keep my OEM unit so I don't have to find a new one when it comes time to sell the truck. If you put a few hundred $ or more into aftermarket you don't want to give that away when you sell/trade in your truck.

    Been there, it's a *****, if you have the hard plastic tube over the stock elbow. The tube goes over a ridge on the stock elbow, that's why its so hard. I just pulled on each with a hand & twisted as I did it. If you are trying to do it with the elbow still screwed down? you may never get it...

    My 06 with 58K on the clock killed it's first set of batteries already. 1yr & 8mo. I didn't bother with going back to the dealer for more motorcraft since I had the same issue with the last truck. Picked up some new ones this AM. I did the Autozone brand, duralast gold 875/1000A.
