    03-04 6.0 ???

My truck (in sig) has had a few problems before i bought it. I did the Oasis report and found that the Turbo has been replaced, high pressure oil pump replaced, and a few reflashes but i still bought it and have not regreted it once! I have flown home a few times now on a tight scheduled...

    Train Horns

Thats cool! There were several times durring my trip to TX that I could have used a train horn and lately I have been finding myself looking into a few kits. To those that have airbags/train horns: If i were to get an airbag system for my truck, it would be easy to tap into it for a train...

Priming a diesel that has run out of fuel.

We do the same compressed air trick here at work. Some vehicles dont prime that well, or sometimes the primer just doesnt work so we use the air trick. We have never had a problem.

    New Dodge 4500 and 5500

We use a lot of Dodge and Ford vehicles here on base... it seems like they have completely different problems. Dodge: Drive train holds up well, limited transmission problems. Now the body on the other hand is just falling apart. Door hinges, seats wearing out within a year, dashes falling...

    How Southern Are You?

44% Dixie. Barely in Yankeedom. Born in North Dakota, lived a few years in Abeline (sp) TX, 7 years in South Dakota, 2 in the Azores, ~12 years in Delaware and i just moved to TX :D I would say the above 44% is accurate. I have never had a crawdad or what ever that thing is so i guess...

    oil change intervals

how many people have actually done an oil analysis (like with blackstone.com)? I am curious how the oil looks at 5K, 7.5K, or even 10K miles. I would do this but my truck only sees maybe 2,000 miles a year.

    07 oil change

Do a search for filters on here, there are part numbers for quality filters and where to get them from. The 6.0s take about 15 quarts (3.75 gallons) of oil. Again, like JLDickson said, double check your owners manual.

    No Grease fittings??

I am curious to see if you guys have them. This is what I was using for a reference.... I am not entirely sure how much they modify. I am assuming it is just the back half but I could be wrong.

    No Grease fittings??

ok, this truck is obviously modified but it is the best i could find with my limited internet service. It is also a picture of the rear axle but you can see the front axle in the background. I am talking about the 2 u-joints in the AXLES. Does this help?

    No Grease fittings??

Ok. looked at our trucks and i was right, we have two grease fittings.... one on each of the front axle. Did you find them? The third one we have is on the rear driveshaft but we have a custom 1 foot long rear driveshaft so it is aftermarket.

    No Grease fittings??

I have not been to work yet (today is my day off) so i havent confirmed yet.... but they shouldnt be on the driveshaft. Check the Axles... where the axles are able to bend for steering there is another U-joint inside the steering knuckle (i guess that is what you would call it). Each side should...

    No Grease fittings??

is the truck a 4x4? IF so i think the only two greese fittings are on U-joings on the front axles. I will have to crawl under one of our trucks (newest we have is an 05) and look. For the most part the automotive world has gone sealed bearings and suspension/steering parts.

    GOLD Coolant vs. GREEN Coolant

Looking for a little guidance... what is the difference between green and gold? Arent they both Ethylene Glycol? They should mix just fine or is there an additive different and reacts negatively when mixed? I always thought the color was just that... a color. We have all kinds of colors of...
