    Thanks for everyones comments. It looks like just about everyone i have talked to has said that if i go to the dallas area to shoot for North Dallas. I am really going to look into that while i am down there.

I am not perticularly a fan of the cold now because i have been living in the Middle East for so long, anything below 70 is cold now (i used to love the snow)...

    Great info in this thread, i would just like to add some info... If you add some grease (wheel bearing/ chassis/ petrolium jelly - doesnt matter) to the drill bit and or tap it will collect most, if not all, the shavings.

    I am a heavy equipment mechanic and have always been around diesels. I just recently bought my own diesel and noticed a few minor pitfalls. Diesels are louder (but i like that so that is actually a + for me) Fewer places to get fuel (depends where you live, you may not have this problem)...
