    From my understandind is that last year they WANTED Challengers, we have an all CAT fleet so getting more Cats with Cat engines just makes sence. Getting a Case with a Cummins that we have no support for, would just make things difficult. They went to Cat, but wanted some changes to be made...

    They are cranes, dont know the capacity though. The winch is 55,000lbs though, i did look at that.

    Another comment, ours have a thick metal hood with insulation around the engine, from the factory they come with a fiberglass hood like the Challenger 95E sitting next to them, pics from the Challenger website:
