    Rust Spots on Clear coat

I also work in construction and have had these rust spots on my truck. I am unsure on what caused them but I found that a good wash and scrub makes them disappear.

    No Grease fittings??

On my 02 the only things not greaseable was the factory ball joints and u-joints. Personally I think it's a big scam to help sell replacement parts.

    Front Axle bearing

Are the inner and outer hub seals both good? My original wheel bearing went at about 120K miles but the little snub shaft bearing was still like new. When I installed my new bearing (and hub) I made sure I greased the hell out of the little snub shaft bearing. It has been ok now for 80K...

Craackker, Sorry to hear about your truck getting stolen and glad to hear they found 'er. I hope they catch the thieve'n bastards. The same thing recently happened to a friend of mine they took his truck on a joyride and then left it deserted in a field. He made sure that the insurance...

The relay in front of the GPR should be the starter relay. If you are going to use a predator downloader I would get rid of the 10k mod and the air regulator. All that they do is trick the ecm to send more fuel and modify injector pulse. They are pretty much pointless with a good...

    stacks installed!!!

Thanks sik350, I am thinking about stacks for my truck in the spring. The Grand Rocks stack kits are cheaper in price than the MBRP stacks I'm just unsure on how the chrome stacks will stand up to the harsh Canadian winters. The MBRP stacks are stainless but they are almost double the price...

    ULSD Price

In Ontario, Canada we are paying around 89 cents a litre Canadian. That's about $2.87 US per gallon. Fuel prices are dropping slightly here.

    xhaust question!

I ran my 7.3 with a 4" straight pipe exhaust and cold air intake for over 75,000 miles with no turbo problems at all. I still am running the factory turbo but have changed my exhaust to 4 inch duals with a muffler. The straight pipe exhaust (stacks) should not harm the turbo in anyway. If...

    ABS for Fronts

I had an mid 90's F150 with rear abs and I disconnected it. I found that the rear abs sucked when it came to slippery road conditions. (front brakes would lock-up but the rear abs would kick in so the rear did nothing) I don't know what ford was thinking when they put abs on the rear and not...

Let's talk a little 'bout horsepower

I would guess around 25-30hp with a cold air intake so I would say 15hp for just exhaust. I noticed a big difference in throttle response as soon as I did the intake and exhaust it also had alot more bottom end torque.

Really rough idle on cold startup

fmotorsport410, It will not hurt the truck or block heater to be plugged in all night it will just cost a little more on the electricity bill. Your truck should have a block heater from the factory check in behind the front bumper or the front of the inner fenders from the factory they tie...

Really rough idle on cold startup

I normally plug mine in at night for startup in the morning but a couple of hours is enough. Alot of people I know put theirs on an outdoor timer.

    Hub let go!

I have had front bearing failure before with my truck. I blame alot of it on the larger tires. (38's=extra stress) When mine let go it cost me a new bearing/hub, rotors, pads, caliper, caliper bracket, and front hub vaccum seal. The bearing on mine completely blew apart on the hwy. (scary!!!)...

    Deletes

The MBRP "delete" pipe will eliminate the MBRP muffler. I had a straight pipe system (no muffler, no cat) on my 02 7.3 until I changed it to 4 inch duals. The straight pipe was not much louder than my duals but the turbo whistle is was down right awesome. I would install the MBRP system first...

Really rough idle on cold startup

I doubt the injectors are giving you a problem. If there is a problem it is probably a bad glowplug. (or two) Most diesels sound rough when they are started in colder weather. A 5w40 or 15w40 oil is good to about 5*F any colder and you should change to a lighter grade of oil it will help alot...

Turbo surge over time can cause turbo problems but it is not something to worry about right now. With a proper chip or programmer in truck it will help the turbo surge problem. Depending on how far you want to go with the mods it is a good idea to upgrade/ update the turbo. (compressor wheel...

Got a couple of noob questions about upgrading 6.0..

The factory transmission gauge in my truck does the exact same thing but they do start to move when over 190 degree's according to my autometer gauge. At least mine started to move when I corked my stock trans. So basicly when the stock guage starts to move the transmission is already...

    HPOP capabilities

I was told by a injector tech at DPP (diesel performance plus) that a stock HPOP that is in good shape should support most stage 2 injectors. The stage 2 injectors I was looking at were 180cc single shots if that helps any. They were to replace my stock split shot injectors in my 02 F350. He...

I have not had any hick-ups with chip-tuner combo the best thing is that the bullydog module is completely adjustable while driving down the road. The combo seems to work for me but everyone has there own personal preference.
