I'm Here! Anyone realy off-road there SD?

I didn't do any serious rock crawling with my old truck (specs below) but I did off-road it several times. I found that is was great on the harder packed trails and mild rock faces but sank right to the bottom of anything soft which usually involved winching the truck out.

    wheel and tire help

35's on 20" wheels should fit just fine. Just be careful on the offset or the tires will hit the leaf springs at full lock. I had 20's on my old truck and loved the way it looked. Lots of rim and only a little bit of tire. Cheers.

    Suspension Question

I would guess that the camper prep package would include either heavier springs and/or have a different spring rate. I know that the snow plow prep packages include upgraded springs.

    compressor issues???

I would probably use car audio (amplifier) power wire and fuses. I like that the wire is available in a variety of gauges and it's fine strand. I've used it for several different applictions in the past and never had any issues. (battery relocates, winches, hi powered spot lights, etc.) Just...

    Towing - Performance

Is it possible the noise that you hear is just the clutch fan fully engaged? The 7.3L's do have very loud 'big rig sounding' fans when they are fully engaged. Just a thought.

    f250 with 295/75/16 or 255/85/16?

I don't think you would have any problems fitting either of those tire sizes. The OBS trucks have more room in the wheel wells than the newer trucks. I would go with 295's. :2c 265/75R16 - 31.6" tall 295/75R16 - 33.4" tall 255/85R16 - 33.1" tall

    tire wheel help

Personally I would run a 10" wide rim for a 35x12.5 tire. If you want to run a 12" wide wheel I would step up to a 14.5 or 15.5" wide tire. just my thoughts. Cheers.

    Question AFE Torque tube?

I'm thinking about purchasing an afe torque tube for my 05 6.0L. I already have an afe stage 2 intake w/pro-gaurd 7 filter and pre-filter. I was wondering if anybody is running these and if they a worth the $100? Any noticable gains? Do they actually draw more air like they claim? Is the...

Help Needed Can't find these DTC's

I've found that my '05 6.0L does the same thing when it's cold but only when my programmer is on the higher settings. I am not aware of any problems with the cam positions sensors in the 6.0L's. The older 7.3's were bad for CPS's though. I would clear the codes and see if they come back...

    Mileage Estimates

My Old truck running 10" of lift and 38" Mickey MTZ's got 10-12 mpg in the city and 14-16 mpg on the hwy. That's with 3.73 gears. I did change them out with 4:56's and it made it a bit better in town (12-14) but stayed about the same on the hwy. Cheers, Patrick.

    Question Dually Spacer Source

Re: Rear wheel spacers I recently ordrered a set of 2 inch spacers off ebay. They are the aluminum spacers that bolt to the factory studs and then have studs build in to carry the outside tire. I know several people that have had them in use for years hauling 15-20K daily without any...

    dually leveling kit

I also have a dually myself. I was told that with a 2" leveling kit that I should have no problem clearing 285's with a 2" spacers in the bum. Possibly even 305's. I haven't done mine yet but plan on it in the spring. Cheers.

    Question Which brand of Winch???

I have had Warn, Superwinch, and Mile Marker winches in the past. I didn't have much luck with Mile Marker the motor burnt out after 6 months of weekend use on my wheelin rig. It wasn't a big deal about $100 bucks to fix. Keep in mind though it was constantly in and out of water on weekend...

    ProComp tires

I have had several different sets of pro comp tires. They wear decent and provide good all-round traction. I ran a set of 315/75 all terrains on my F350 for three winters and they still have 75% tread left. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another set. Cheers!

Hopefully someone can help me out. I am looking for some aftermarket rear backing plates for my 02 F350 SRW. I haven't been able to find anything besides OE replacements from the dealer at a cost of $400 a side. Hopefully someone knows where I can find some aftermarket replacements. I don't...

    collum shifter

I had problems with mine and all the screws turned out to be tight but the plastic bushings where the shifter assembly pivots on the column were worn out. They were not very expensive but a pain in the butt to install.

    Clunking on my 01 F250

Sounds to me like it's either sway bar link bushings or trac bar bushings.
