    ride quality question

I'd call your current shock manfacturer and see if they have a dual-setup shock recommendation. Get the numbers off your current shocks to compare what they tell you. You may just need to swap out one set up front to get the softer ride.

Question Rear & Front End Ratio

Look on the rear diff there should be a tag. Those numbers will tell you the ratio I'd bet yours will have the 3L73 codes for a 3.73 LS equipted truck.

    degas cap leaks

As long as your coolant level is at the MIN line or just below then your coolant level is fine. Ford released a redesigned cap as well, did you recgonize if that was different than the orginal one you replaced? Sorry I don't have pics of this myself I'll have to take some and link them later.

    degas cap leaks

Make sure your new degas bottle has the new level sticker or is the newer bottle with the lowered MAX/MIN indicators. FORD at some point lowered the MAX/MIN line where the coolant level needs to be when checked. Your bottle may be overfilled. If you post some pics I can tell you what you got...

    New head studs

I'd suggest you check your pockets first then decide if a dremel is the right tool to use.

    New head studs

The gaskets are not the weak link since the head bolts are torque to yeild. As cylinder pressures are increased by using tuners or injecting water/meth the bolts will stretch causing "head gaskets" to fail. As long as your heads and gaskets are virgin there is no reason that you cannot...

    Dieselsite AC upgrades

This mod on my '99 V10 would make it so cold the people in the rear seat would complain it was too cold in the truck with MAX AC on high.

    How much oil?

Add enough to read just below the mid point and do your oil changes as you did in the past. The reservior for the 6.0 HPOP holds 1 qt of oil.

    Lack of power????

Boost and RPM need to be elevated to get the TQ convertor to release. I find the TQ convertor will not really let go till over 1800 RPM. Boost will drive the power released.

    EGR delete VS Blockoff

Some will argue that a full delete is the only solution. Results will vary from truck to truck. A full delete will remove any chance of getting coolant into the intake. I say mod the up-pipe with a welded in piece of steel and see what the results occur. If it helps then be happy!

    No GPS?

I'd say you better start wearing out that 3/36 warranty make them fix it.

    What would you do?

I would suggest you file a restraining order as well to keep him clear of your family and home. I don't know the details of how they work but if it's written as only her and him or at their home address would it apply if she is at your house?

I found this out on the 10.5 rear ends today.

This briefs well but I'd like to see some real world application before dumping the cash. Gears aren't cheap and trying to sell them is even harder.

    Question Oil additive?????

I use the Oil Guard by-pass system. Comes with new caps and is a stout unit. As long as you buy any bypass kit it only helps your motor longevity.

    Question Oil additive?????

I have only used synthetic oils with a by-pass oil fitler kit. I suggest you look away from oil additives and use frequent changes with a quality oil.

    Question Drained Batt.'s

Key on doesn't have an auto shut off feature like you find on the headlights. Those batteries need a real good charge so you might want to take a 30min+ ride around town.

    EGR Baffle kit

Why not just SOLVE the problem? Delete the EGR or use a modded up-pipe.

    Pulling the CAT?

Since the stock system is 3.5" after the cat the aftermarket parts just go to 4". They want you to believe the HP and TQ gains they show with their systems. Their kits do remove quite a few bends and are great quality (T409 & T304 SS) so there are some good reasons to go aftermerket. I'm...

    Removing turbo vanes

Considering the potential outcome I wouldn't drive the truck. Pull the turbo and give the turbine side a good cleaning and see if that helps. You could buy another VGT solenoid and replace that as well.

Question Rear window power slider sticks.....

You can try a dry film lube like a teflon spray as well. It will help the movement and not junk up with crud.

    Pulling the CAT?

I have done exactly what I posted to my own truck including removing the muffler. There's no sensors for the cat so the truck never throws a code. It's not difficult to do yourself and it sounds great if you delete the muffler at the same time.

    Pulling the CAT?

You can buy an MBRP 3.5" downpipe and MBRP cat delete pipe. The downpipe will help with EGTs and the cat delete pipe will fit the OEM 3.5" tubing. Whenever you neeed to have a smog check, you simply swap in the cat get the test and swap out. FWI cats are required equipment unless you are...

Question EGR and EGR manifold carbon buildup 2006 6.0

I try to run TC-W3 rated 2-stroke oil at 1oz per gallon when I refuel. I pulled my IAT sensor that is located on the top of the intake manifold. I was pleasantly surprised when I found there wasn't any clumpped soot around the sensor. I cleaned off the sensor and reinstalled. I know this...
