    Unclear? Which tuner for max MPG?

    I have the DP Tuner with an econo setting. I gained 1 to 1.5 mpg. But the mileage gain is wiped out by the fun factor testing out the other settings. I had already installed a 4" exhaust and DIY Intake when the tuner was put in.

    Welcome to SDD!! I am not sure of the differences between the older and newer 7.3 engines. Someone with more knowledge should chime in later. My experience is that the mileage gain, 1 to 1.5 mpg with my mods, is lost to the fun factor of driving the truck with its new abilities.

    Thanks for the help over the phone Bush. I finally got the axle seal pressed out enough and got the axle out through the knuckle and beat the crap out of the seal until it came off of the axle shaft.

    I am trying to pull the axle shaft itself out. The seal is super tight. The directions that I am usting say to take the tire, brake caliper, and hub unit off. Then push out the axle shaft seal from the inside by the ujoint. Bush - did you pull the axle shaft and hub unit out as one piece?
