    Basic SDD/PSD WVO Setups

Yep, you bring up a good point, as I have been running into the lack of veggie oil at the resturants up in Mass. Big corporate grease renderer got the veggie oil all locked up. So, I been trying to minimized the use of the PSD as much as possible due to cost of diesel @ @4.38/ gal and...

    stuck thermostat?

Bad stat for sure. I would just go to you local NAPA store and get a new one. They give you a lifetime warranty on them. I can't argue with that logic - NAPA heavy duty tstat, lifetime warranty, readily availible thru the local NAPA store - what's not to like. I don't work for NAPA, I get...

    7.3L vs gas motors

I had a '99' 5.4l gas F250. Gas consumption was 16 empty, 12 - 13 towing. found the 5.4 at the time, to be a dog for towing my 26' TT. I traded it for a 2000 PSD - WOW!!! towing performance is vastly improved over the gas version. Also the PSD gets 16 mpg towing, 21.5 mpg solo. 1999...

Hey, this could lead to some new and interesting episodes on "Pawn Stars" Just think, customer walks into the pawn shop, trying to sell grandmas' false teeth and hip replacement. How would you put a fair market price on something like this? Sound too off the wall, think again, as this is...

Diesel Site Coolant Filter installation issue

Lonestar, You may want to see if you can get some air space between the filter and radiator hose and housing. Chaffing , rubbing of radiator hose with filter housing - not good. a little air space buys peace of mind. Butch Cassidy

    Power Lock Malfunction

i just did my door lock actuator replacement. A real easy way to get at the rods, linkages, and worn actuator - remove the outer door handle / lock assembly. Once you do this, the whole assembly is staring right at you, making it real easy to work on. Hopes this helps, Butch Cassidy

Question Do I need an AIC?

AIC works only in park w/ parking brake engaged. I been using mine for 10 years, works great for running the A/C sytem at idle. This would be a PITA at every stop light / sign- put in park, engage parking brake. Sounds like your veggie oil heater(s) are really sucking up the juice when "on"...

    203* thermostat...???

We (fleet trucks) tried the 203* thermostat - it does give you more cab heat, but that is it. There was no increase in performance, nor any mileage increase on any of the trucks. (the boss was peeved about this) Advice? - save your money, if you need a replacement thermostat, Napa is very...
