SuperDuty Tow & Transport Pics (What Are You Pulling Out There)

So this old shed belonged to my uncle and was used as a power distribution building to supply power to a cell phone tower. Well it had been sitting unused for ten years rotting away and we finally got tired of looking at it. My uncle actually found someone who wanted it (I still can't believe...

NEW Truck is HERE!!! (lots of peektures)

That truck is AWESOME!!!! There is nothing that looks sweeter than a tricked out work truck. I don't know what I like the best about it. I find it interesting that the upfitter added extensions on the tailpipes, haven't seen that done before, but I sure do like little details like that to...

    Swapping truck beds.

Yes I am aware of that, which is why I said MAYBE he could get one. I have seen a few take off beds sitting around that actually do have the tailgate with the step. I travel up in southeastern PA where the original poster is located and I do know there are quite a few independent dealerships...

    Swapping truck beds.

I don't know anything about the bed bolts size issue but you would be able to figure that out real quick. Yes the beds will work, just save the wiring harness that comes off the old bed and swap it over. As an added bonus, maybe your friend will get a new bed with a new tailgate that has the...

Question Do I need an AIC?

Unfortunately, the AIC will not help your cause due to the fact that the truck must be in neutral with park brake on and no pressure applied to hydraulic brakes pedal (manual trans) or in park or neutral with park brake on and no pressure on hydraulic brakes pedal (automatic tranny). I guess...

    Wheel bearing or locking hub?

The needle bearing in that link is separate from the hub assembly and can be purchased from your local Ford dealer. The first link I posted lists all the parts used in the entire project that was spread out over those three links plus a few others. I believe the needle bearing assembly is $11...

    Wheel bearing or locking hub?

With the links provided below, you should pretty much be able to eliminate the need for the dynatrac kit. If you can do these maintenance items yourself then you should be able to make these items last indefinitely. This link outlines how to remove the sealed wheel bearing assembly. You...

    no clue

I'll defer to Kent for the brake information because he has the experience with his early 99, and I haven't done brakes on my truck yet so I have only reinstalled parts that I previously removed. I just completed ball joints by myself on my truck last week and the lower ball joints (MOOG'S)...

Fixing up truck - need help

Not sure but isn't Elite Diesel Engineering out in Colorado somewhere? I believe their specialty is 6.0 Liter Fords. Might be worth a phone call at the very least as I'm not exactly sure how far away they are from Omaha, NE.

    Question Enclosed Trailer Quality

I have looked at Pace American trailers, and they seem to be well built for a reasonable price, with a nice choice of options.

    batteries

I was just at my local Ford dealership the other day and noticed that they had three different batteries on display. One of them was a Motorcraft Super Duty Series and I believe it had 900 or 950 CCA. The Optima Red Top can be had in many configurations: Optima RedTop Specs - Red Top AGM...

    Newbie The 6.0

Welcome to SDD....As you can see in my signature I have an early 2003 6.0, my truck (knock on wood) has only had three injectors replaced due to a bad batch of fuel and the egr cleaned all at the same time. That was at 27,000 miles and just over two years ago. Now the truck has 60,000 miles...

    hi everyone question here

Do you have an owners manual for the truck? If so that is the first place I would look. It should give you a break down of Gross Combined Vehicle Weight (GCVW) depending on F 250, 350, or 450 and which rear axle gear ratio the truck is equipped with. I don't have any experience towing with...

    Question Keyless entry (door pad)

X2 This is what I installed on my truck and it works great. You program it the same way you would program a new Ford keychain remote and you stick it to the truck wherever you want. The instructions included tell you how to sync up the keypad with the truck and your other keychain remotes and...

    ICP sensor location?

Actually, it depends on what year the truck is. Early 03 6.0's were located on the engine sort of underneath the turbo. Late 03 to 07 6.0's have the ICP located on the passenger side valve cover just behind the alternator. Hope this helps.

    Question Keyless Entry

Speak to your dealership and have them look it up by referencing your VIN number.

    Question Top speed

As you have already found out, the truck is electronically limited to 85 m.p.h. because the tires are only rated up to that speed. This is designed into the truck by Ford, and I am not aware of any way to eliminate it.

New Member need coil spring information

The part numbers you are looking for are a simple phone call to your local Ford dealer and the parts counter. The 2010 2wd trucks are still using the same suspension as your truck so I would think the springs are very similar. Your spring capacity is listed on the sticker on the door jamb as the...

Help Needed Longer than normal cold crank

My suggestion would be to cycle the glow plugs twice one morning before you start the cold truck. If the truck starts with a slow crank but lites off fairly quick, I would suggest that you look at the age of your batteries. When the batteries got weak in my truck, it was about this time last...
