    Oh no no no no. I am just using a standard 6' short bed. I had to shorten the frame to fit the 6' bed. Way too much work to shorten am 8' down to a 6'. Would have been cheaper though.

    The tailgates with the step built in are shaped different at the top for sure. The hardware inside the gate may be different and not swap from the old gate to the new one.
