    i don't know too much about them... i just know when i had a viper on my 03 i had that options... but we don't have gassers so i would be extra caustious as to who installs it...

    I don't know what the exact number difference is but... i do know that by the time you get a reading post-turbo (downpipe) the damage probability is significantly higher.... you did yours the right way... tell him to be vary cautious.. and you keep yours under 1250... it doesn't hurt to go over...

    WD40 on the hinges in the tailgate... mine did it and it drove me nuts!... i put WD40 on the hinges and wala... it was a good 2 maybe 3 months then i heard it again... one more squirt and wala.. gone again...

    take the one out of the 06... send it to Bill at powerhungryperformance and have him reflash it for the 05.. or take the 05 one out and do the same. I don't know if you can just switch them or not but while the truck is down and out you might as well get it reflashed for 125 bucks from the best..
