    40 Reasons to Ban Firearms

I've got 13+1 reasons why I should be allowed to have a firearm. Colorado has the "Make My Day" law where if someone enters my home and I feel they are a threat to me or my family or my possesions I have the right to use deadly force. They are talking about changing it to the "Make My Day...

    Yep, they fixed it!!

It might just be an optical illusion, but the pinion yoke looks to me like it's not perpendicular to the path the pinion should be on.

    What kind of jack???

I use Hi-Lifts on my Jeeps all the time, and frankly they scare me enough with 4k lbs on them, wouldn't want to put more on them.

any reason to not buy these gauges?

$$$ is the key right now, and I'm not too worried about the install of the gauges. I won't spend less money for junk, but cash is key considering I still need to buy a trailer, and dump some $$$ into the Jeep to get it ready for the summer.

any reason to not buy these gauges?

http://www.dieselmanor.com/gauges/gauge_kits_psd.asp Looks like the full setup, everything I need, pretty good price. Any pros/cons between the drill & tap vs the clamp?

    looking for a tonneau cover

Looks nice, but a bit more than I was looking to spend. I'd only probably use this cover a few times a year, and the rest of the time it would stay in the garage.

good trailer dealer in Rapid City?

Yeah, it can manage getting up on a trailer pretty good . . . lol Unless I blow up the front end or something. I'll have the ramps, but probably won't use them very much.

    looking for a tonneau cover

I'm looking for one that'll do a good job of keeping stuff in the bed out of the elements (mainly luggage on road trips and such) but at the same time is easily removable and easy to store (I'm perfectly okay with hanging the frame for the ceiling or something like that). It will not be on my...

good trailer dealer in Rapid City?

Yup, something exactly like that. Believe me, spare tireS are definitely in the budget. The majority of my towing will be on I-70 between Denver and Moab. Very easy to lose a trailer tire through there, and it's a royal PITA trying to find another tire in rural Utah on a Sunday afternoon...

good trailer dealer in Rapid City?

Don't quite need that much trailer! Only have one vehicle to haul for now.

good trailer dealer in Rapid City?

I'm heading from Denver to Rapid City here in a few weeks and am in the market for an 18' ft car hauler. They are outrageously expensive here in Denver (can save over $500 by going just over the border into Kansas) so I was hoping they were cheaper in Rapid, but haven't had any luck finding a...

Another gauge to add to my truck...

He might as well put a washer fluid temp gauge in there too!!

    Silly Question

Depending on what the actual dampening material in the shock is, some have to have a certain end up, others do not.

    Silly Question

I wouldn't even bother doing an aligment for changing out bushings and such, unless you feel that somehow the linkage you changed the bushing in has changed dimensions. I align my vehicles every 10k professionally, but most of it is really easy to do at home. The only time I'll do an...

temporary ways to make it easier to get in and out of my truck

Took the truck out for a spin today. Turns out I'm JUST tall enough to get in the truck without any steps. I just back up to the open door and my butt is on the seat just enough to where I can pull myself up from there. I knew there was a reason I was 6'5"!

    I may be switching.....

KBB is typically inflated by about 10%, NADA is what really counts.

temporary ways to make it easier to get in and out of my truck

Thanks! Lucky for me I'm through most of the pain, now there's just no walking for the next 5 weeks and the PT. But it will feel damn get to get behind the wheel of my truck again. My wife and I were talking on our way back from our cruise in January how the week we were gone had been the...

The end of summer off road driving?

Personally I have never driven through a field in my truck, or my Jeep. I bought my truck to pull my Jeep, which is built specifically for wheeling. We have a LOT of people here in CO that feel they can just drive their vehicles wherever they want to, and that simply just isn't the case. They...

temporary ways to make it easier to get in and out of my truck

They're probably about 3 ft long. They're just those regular ramps that you can buy at Pep Boys or wherever, I figure that'll be much easier than try to get up a step.

The end of summer off road driving?

As far as the highway goes, it might just be a Colorado thing with the fire danger we have here but the grass on the side of the highway never gets more than 5-6" tall during the summer. And on the trails there are PLENTY of places to pull over where there is very little vegetation as well...

temporary ways to make it easier to get in and out of my truck

I'm right at the weight capacity (300lbs) on those steps, which has me a little worried. I'll basically be jumping up onto them to make them work. The thing I liked about the ramp is that it's a gradual incline, I don't actually have to make a full step to get to the top of it. Getting up a...

temporary ways to make it easier to get in and out of my truck

A couple weeks ago I broke my leg and tore up some ligaments in my ankle, haven't been in my truck since. I'm going to try and go back to work next week, but I still can't put any weight on my left leg for another 5 weeks or so. I will be MUCH more comfortable driving my truck than the...

The end of summer off road driving?

Frankly, your truck should be on existing trails only where there wouldn't be any grass or leaves to worry about.
