    I know mine works simply because it starts easier. Without it, it typically romps for a few seconds. With it, it starts like I just shut it down.

    That's where I'm looking at installing mine, except up in the bumper. I'd like the "pull out protection" in case I forget to unplug it. I've got mine all wired up and ready to go....just waiting on some warmer weather or a new friend with a heated garage. :D

    Exhaust

    Black smoke is just unburnt (ie: wasted) fuel. The best way to get that is with a programmer set on the highest setting. I had the programmer before the aftermarket exhaust and it smoked like crazy when I chomped on the go-pedal on the tow-safe setting. Still does. :sweet

    Ron, how did you manage to hook up the flashing light? I've driven off twice with it plugged in (wife never lets me hear the end of it, either) so a flashing light would be great. I'll tackle that project when it warms up, right after I get done with the AIC mod! :thumbs

    I doubt that. Somehow the GM SUV's are able to escape the attention of the tree huggers despite the fact that every one of their SUV's is a gas guzzler. Yet Ford wouldn't make an attempt at marketing their diesel SUV that gets better fuel economy than a little Trailblazer. -mad

    Sounds pretty risky to me, especially with retirement five years off. Double and triple check the numbers if they look good!
