    Signature? What year, mod's., etc. ? What are your boost #'s? Were you having issues at all with your performance? Turbo Whistle can be quite different for different years, and how a truck is modified. For example, no 6.0 turbo sounds as loud as an 03' turbo.

    It seems odd to me too. All I know is that when the EOT's are 25deg. higher than coolant temp. it's probably a failed oil cooler. Were both of those thumbnail images representing the engine after running for awhile(operating temp.), or was one taken with temp.s on their way up after a cold soak?

    You know; sometimes I feel like the only guy that doesn't like the 03' whistle, but I've learned to live w/ it. Pedestrians are much safer hearing me coming from a block away by golly! Being in construction for 33 yrs., I don't hear it like most do; and it's funny sometimes to see peoples heads...

    head studs in DFW

    Click on the vendors here on this Forum. DieselSite and ITP. One has ARP'S and the other has A1 Technologies. ARP's are about $150. less. I've never heard of any failures w/ARP's. The peace of mind after getting studded sure is nice.

    Only guessing,but you're probably right about it being a pigtail. Ford parts dept. should tell you. Your symtoms suggest that it may just be that bad connection. I'd start there first; clean and replace.

    Are you getting code P2285? I just looked this up and apparently there is an ICP sensor repair kit. The procedure when you get code P2285 is to first clear the code,then restart and wiggle the connection to the sensor. If the code comes back then replace connection with P/N 3C3Z-1224-AA.

    I agree w/ Dogman. But Man! , Your dealer is telling you that they cannot perform the combustion gas test, because they know what the results will be. It may also mean that they will not recognize it as a problem even if the test turned up positive. It may not be a "Ford Approved" diagnoses...

    Unknown loss of coolant

    It will only get worse, but as long as you keep an eye on it and don't overheat,it might be o.k. It can progress to blown H.G.'s and even warped heads if it gets too hot. Ask me how I know this......... Good Luck.
