    BBB, isn't the block heater a simple electric grid ? How's about crawling under that nice cold truck and pulling the cord end so you can check the block heater with an ohmeter.... Not sure what resistance it SHOULD have, but think it would tell you whether or not you have a break in the...

    robert, none of mine has never "not started" ever.... he 02 7.3, nor the 03 6.0, nor the 05 6.0.... something must be amiss with either the timer or your glow plug relay - dunno.... The 05 though DOES have Synthetic in it from the last oil change - so maybe that helps ?!?!? anudder dunno :)...

    I got the ford gold and works like a champ.... but any of the Big Box stores like Best Buy or Circuit City... that sell Viper, etc... install theirs with more features for less money.... I got mine as part of the purchase so they came out to the house and did it.... the installer that did mine...

    You are describing your torque-convertor tranny.... someone suggested this to me and it works... how about tapping the tow haul when u know u need to react quickly.... as far as from a stop.... a little brake stand to about 1000 to 1500 rpms and jack rabbits don't stand a chance :) Next time...
