    regearing question

    Thats all there is. Ring, pinion, bearings and oil. Take off the diff cover, drain the oil and change the gears. A shop should charge no more than $400 per axle. I'd say do it yourself but lining up the ring and pinion perfectly can be difficult without proper tools.

    A new gear set runs about $200.00 per axle, plus a master bearing kit for about $180.00 also per axle. Labor is about $300-400 per axle.

    SCT / Edge Attitude

    No you can't adjust on the fly with SCT. But, I would definately suggest the SCT with custom tunes. I couldn't believe the difference between the EDGE and SCT. Plus the SCT is better for your tranny.

    Great, thats what I thought. As far as the bloody knuckles, already there and I haven't even gotten the stocker out of there. I'm gonna try the wifes blow dryer on there for a few minutes.

    I can't get my stock elbow off the intercooler boost tube. I've been pullin and tugging and it seems like the tube is about to break. How do you get this thing off of here? Thanks, Dave

    Not sure about mileage but if you wanna roll back the asphalt, go SCT with custom tunes.

    I have the xcal3 with custom tunes from DJ's. My hottest tune is supposedly 160. It installed in less than 5 minutes and was a world of difference from my edge evo.

    I get 16 hwy and 14 in town with 4.30's and 37" tires.

    With 35's, I wouldn't go lower than 4.10's. I have 4.30 with 37's and its just about perfect. I could of even gone with 4.10. Those gear calculators always recommend to big a ring gear. I had 4.56's on 35's on my last psd and it was way too high rpms on the freeway. Dave

    Axle swap.

    The problem comes in on the back of the spindle where it attaches to the Ibeam. At max camber theres a knuckle that hits the inside of the ibeam. I thought I could just get some new radius arms, steering linkage and new coils and swap them out.:dunno

    Morning guys, might have a dumb question here but I've having a lot of problems with my front end since I bent the I-beams to adjust the camber after I put 8" coils on it. They seem to be neverending and costly, my question is this, I have a dana 60 in town I can pick up for real cheap from 04...

    Whats up fellas. New here from San Diego, been driving Ford diesels since the early 90's. Love everything about diesels, even converted an old 1990 transit bus into a motorhome with a big 92v6 Detroit Deisel. Had to rebuil it first. Anyways, here I am. I like the site.:usa :Diamond
