    1967 F100

Hi all, I am a very happy man tonight. I found and bought my first truck from when I was in school. My dad bought the truck new in 1967 and gave it to me in 1984 which I drove until I sold it in 1987. Well she is mine again and I plan on keeping her for a long time. I will have to say that time...

    Manual to Power mirrors

I did this on my 2001 and yes the wire harness was there. All I had to do was get the plate on the door that had the switch in it and everything worked fine. Now remember this was on an '01 so check behind your door panels to see if yours has them before you buy or start. Good luck. Scott

    steering stabilizer/ball joints

I installed upper and lower ball joints on my truck around 3k miles ago and I have developed a small problem. When I drive the truck and make a turn the steering will not return to center without me manualy turning it back. Now, I have had the truck aligned twice and completely reworked the ball...

    Rear Springs

How do I tell the difference between the 250 and the 350 springs? I also have the heavier springs in the front which makes the truck sit level but I'm not sure which ones they are. Will this make a difference as to which springs I have for the rear? And for the record, all of you guys that have...

    Rear Springs

Ok, I have a broken spring. What is the best way to fix this Replace the broken spring or the whole spring pack? Will the driver side sit lower than the passenger after doing this? I have 60k miles on these springs and hauled alot of weight over its life. I looked it over good today and the back...

How long do you idle in cold weather??

I called them about the 6.0 vs 7.3 thing and they said that they had me with the 6.0 but just did a typo in the info section. And yes, I am going to do the mod today. The AIC works great on dads 7.3 but isn't correct on the 6.0's. Now, once I get the mod to work then I will use it all the time...

    MBRP Muffler Delete

Has anyone removed the muffler on there MBRP 4" exhaust? If so how does it sound? I would like to get the sound back from when I ran factory pipe with muffler delete. The MBRP is close but still a little to mellow for me. Oh yeah, I have the 4" turbo back with the kitty delete pipe and MBRP...

How long do you idle in cold weather??

Ok, I have been concerned about this because I had an AIC from my 7.3 days. I installed this in my truck and it didn't work correctly so I wasn't able to use it. I do alot of traveling up North where it is cold and I sleep in the truck so yes I have Idled all night long and so have others in our...

    Rear Springs

Hi all, I have a question about my rear springs. I have noticed lately that when I hook up a trailer the right rear seems to be lower than the left. Well this weekend I had about 10k pounds loaded and the same issue with the exception now I have alot of bouncing on the right rear and alot of...

Could this be it!!!!! (Vibration out of the whole)

Congrats, I am glad you figured it out. I for the life of me had no clue what it could have been. I was about to suggest your rear pinion bearing but I glad you didn't have to go there. :thumbs Scott

    Tire Choice

Has anyone ever run Maxxis tires? I am looking at the MA-751's http://www.maxxis.com/products/automotive/product_detail.asp?id=188&product_id=2549 and the MA-761's http://www.maxxis.com/products/automotive/product_detail.asp?id=246&product_id=2562 I need some input because I have to buy...

Could this be it!!!!! (Vibration out of the whole)

I would think that once u set the pinion angle on the rear axle and the angle coming out of the tranny then the center should then be set. There is a calculation for the size shims on the carrier in regards to the lift but I can't seem to find it. I would just try to get both ends set correctly...

    Tire Choice

How are they in wet grass or small amount of mud? The reason I as is because sometimes I have to go through some wet fields to get to barns for hay or occasionally some mud.I don't mind paying as long as I get what I am after. Thanks Scott

    Tire Choice

Hi all, I am in need for a new set of tires to go on my '04 F350 CC Dually 4x4. I use the truck for over the road hauling and occasionally for some 4x4 work. I need a good tire that can handle alot of weight and potholes on the highway and get me through some wet fields occasionally. I would...

Could this be it!!!!! (Vibration out of the whole)

Your right, I forgot about the axle being under the springs. :sorry Next time I will think before I speak! :o I have done a few lifts on these trucks and I can't believe I was thinking of something else. Scott

Could this be it!!!!! (Vibration out of the whole)

Ok, I may be missing something here but lets get back to the rear spacers. If you have installed them with the thicker/taller side to the rear then you are turning your rear pinion down. By turning the pinion down when you are doing a lift is completely the opposite of what you are supposed to...

    Better MPG

Don't touch the thin wire with anything just spray it! If you break the wire you will have to replace the MAF. Anyway, try it and lets us know if it works for you. Scott

    Better MPG

I used both to make sure it was going to work. My overhead actually shows less than what I actually get, it has always been around .5 off. Scott

    Better MPG

I am sure some of you already know this but I am going to post it anyway. I read on the other site about cleaning the MAF sensor for better mileage. After I read it I remembered it so this is for everyone that forgot like I did. Anyway I sprayed electric cleaner on the sensor wire and it...
