    this is what i have,, 96 f-250 4x4 7.3l,, started a bit slower this a.m. @ 20* here is whats happening ,if i rev above 15-16 rpm engine bogs down big loss of power is sounds like its binding and burning smell..its still drives and goes though the gears ?? any idea????????? thanks dante59...

    Hello and welcome to a great sd site !! i have 96 f-250 7.3l . my mileage for the most recent trip (Northwestern WA to Hood River OR and Mt. Rainier area) I pull a 25 ft Alumascape 5k, was 14-15 mpg up and back, ( i-5 60-65 mpg avg) after parking tt, 17-18 mph just poking around the country...

    oil consumption ????

    thanks for the input, i put the the 2qts in and that put it just about to the top of the grid. we hooked up the tt and camped down by MT-HOOD OR. all and all we drove about 6 hundred miles + or -..oil is still near the top ,, i'll keep me eye on it WHO KNOW ??????? thanks again. dante59 (rich)

    I'm just curious, i was surprised when i ck my oil and it was 2qts down have 1600 mile from last oil change:eek: did send oil sample to Blackstone and that report was good for the mile i have on it (141.000) this can't be norm, can it??? :dunno wife's van has 171.000 and the no oil added until...

    no ,,i just take the broken pc out and layed the one with the sping down and put the new filter in ..thats it.started it up ck for leaks ( none) take it out for a 4-5 mile ride ck it still no leaks ,, i thing im slipped by this , haha. thanks for ck'n ..rich.. p.s. maybe we can talk about Tx...
