    So you really think a finned cover is worth the extra money. Could pick one up from four wheel parts that would add an extra quart of fluid. Or would the oem one be the better choice. Don't really want that chrome look.

    Opened the manual for my 06 f-350 single rear wheel super duty to find out the required rear axle lube for the truck only to get a ford part number. Can anybody tell me what the proper aftermarket label or API label I should be looking for for both the rear and the front axle.

    I've been looking at the exact exaust system, wonder if I should just get a cat back system? Seems like these dealers will blame anything on aftermarket parts. Seems kinda like a big pile of something really smelly.:bs

    We have a local coop here in the area that makes biodiesel to ASTM standards, so they say, are certified to sell comercially, wouldn't that be standardized like petro products,or has there not been a standard set for biofuels yet?

    Can't you just take it to the dealer? I took mine to the dealer and they just went into the computer and shut off the chime period. The light in the instrument cluster still comes on but not the chime. I think it cost me about $25.00.

    It looks to me that you would have less trouble with all these valves(EGR, EBP, etc.) if everything ran cleaner. It appears by the posts I have seen on the bio-diesel that the engines run cleaner, therefore less EGR valve troubles etc. Am I right to assume this?

    I'm planning on picking up some b-99 or b-100 tomorrow to mix in with with my fuel based on the lubricity test chart, will be running about 2 and1/2 percent bio to ULSD. Should I be looking to change my filters again with only 20.000 miles? And what is the EBP valve?

    I don't know about stock rear wheel dyno numbers either but if your getting 620 ft lbs. at the rear wheels thats more than the advertised toque at the flywheel. Isn't the flywheel toque only about 570 or 590?:dunno

    So your sold on the cat delete pipe, is it hard to get the cat delete pipe on and off, need to have the cat on for state inspection. Would having the cat off set off codes on the computer. You know these computers keep trake of EVERYTHING !

    Fast Idle Switch

    The mechanic that works on mine says that idleing is hell on the EGR valve and will eventually clog it up and cause it to malfunction, how does the fast idle mode affect the EGR valve? Could it be hooked up to an upfitter switch?
