    SCT xcal2 all the way. Never had heard about any problems about them, and pretty much all the hopped up trucks on competitiondiesel run them. Only drawbacks are the change on the fly option and you have to buy gauges.

    Are K&N Performance filters any good?

    I haven't heard of anyone using a k&n filter. I have heard good comments on the AFE and the volant filters. I had a k&n on my old truck and it worked fine. I also heard that the OEM filter is good up to 500 hp, I don't know if thats true or not though. :2c Good luck with your choice man!

    I'd go with oem also. Check on E-bay for your mirrors, they always have some on there. Then you don't have to worry about the things breaking (my motto: you get what you pay for.)

    I used it. Its not too bad of a product, It doesen't leave a white haze behind. I also like that meguires sp?? quick wax.

    Accessing Radio for Removal

    They are a hex head bolt. Just take and pull carefully on your dash to get it off. Its held in place with 4 screws. Note* make sure that you don't stretch out any of your wires. Good Luck!!

    Doesen't the SCT programmer delete the egr valve too along with other tuners without throwing a code? I thought I read that somewhere.

    Id stick with the name brand gauges too. IsoPro and Autometer are probably your best bet.

    air filter ?

    Question for you guys: I've heard that the OEM air filter flows just as good as an aftermarket one or even better. Till you get into higher Hp?? Now this dosen't sound right to me. Can anyone tell me if this is a fact or bull. Thanks guys!

    No power on Launch / surges for no reason

    I was saying the same thing as bling821. What I ment to say is if I punch it from the stop, it will lag a little bit before going. If I take and give it a little rpm then get on it then it will respond better.

    Thats just how they are stock. Mine does the same thing. You need to do a few mods to get rid of the lag. Good luck
