    Turbo Problem?

Do the CCV mod. That way it's no longer filling the induction system with oil. Notice how your CAC boots are saturated with oil? It's all from the CCV.

Is there a company that would make solid metal handles of some sort? The plastic ones are a joke.

    Boring out injectors

Injectors on a powerstroke are way more complicated than the older mechanical injection diesels. They're really hard to modfiy, why do you think that makers of after-market injectors charge so much? You'll probably screw them all up and end up needing new ones. Edit: 03Bighossf250, you have any...

    FLUIDAMPER

If you plan on running your truck in mild form, then the fluidamper is a good choice. However, I know many performance people will not run the damper. Especially if you are going to spin the engine over 4k. For some reason it's breaking the LPOP gears in most of the high horse engines. I want to...

    New location for Livewire

I wasn't running any tune before I bought the Livewire. I do believe they use the same tune though, so you shouldn't see any difference. I didn't get mine with the EGT probe since they wasn't out at the time. But several companies are selling the livewire with the probe. Look here. I have the...

    New location for Livewire

I put it in the upper-left hand corner of the windshield. It doesn't block anything important and it's easy to reach/read. I had to fab up a custom bracket and made a special cable, but I believe the results look pretty good. I also reversed my OBD2 port so the connector isn't hanging down by my...

    Electric or mechanical gauges

Water temp will go in the side of the block. There is a drain plug below the aft most freeze-out plug below the manifold on both sides. Use the drivers side since it's super easy to get to. Look here. You'll need at M16x1.5 (male) to 1/8"NPT(female) Metric Adapter. Both Isspro and Autometer make...

    Whistleeeeeeeee

You can put the 03 turbo on your truck, but you'll have to have the mounting bracket for it as well. You probably won't see much of a whistle increase with a muff delete (the biggest one is the cat) but it will give you a more agressive sound at higher RPMs.

Aftermarket Engine Oil Pressure Sending Unit

I personally like the idea of return oil into the oil pan. I'm not a big fan or dropping cooler oil (from a bypass filter) on top of a hot engine. That hollow bolt thing that Amsoil sells just seems like a future leak that you'll never get fixed. I'm thinking about installing a T fitting in the...

    O6E17 Recall and EGR crap!!!!!

I just have mine unplugged. It's been that way for over a year now. Mine would act weird when it was hooked up as well. I think mine runs better with the 06E17 other than the EGR issue. But with it unhooked, no more problems.

    Shift Boot?

Mid West Transmission Just call 888-824-2012 and ask for Dan. Tell him I sent ya. I did a writeup here. It's on one of the "other sites" but I wrote it so I figured it'd be alright to show ya.

    Shift Boot?

Since you're going to be in that area, might as well install a short-throw shifter. Best upgrade I ever done.

    Coolant Quandry

The EGR cooler has been known to "flash boil" the coolant during operation. The amount of coolant running thru it is not enough to keep up with the high heat of the exhaust gas going thru it. This causes what's in the egr cooler to boil and raise pressure in the coolant system causing it to spew...

    Rear end mods.

I've heard a lot of good stuff about the Detroit Tru-Trac. I'm not real sure on the technicals, but it has some sort of a gear mesh instead of the clutch packs. I planned on getting this one soon.

    Gooseneck Ball Spanner Wrench???

I'd personally try the hammer and punch first, since that's the easiest. If it's a no-go, weld a nut to it. Make sure you get it plenty hot to ensure a good weld or els it'll just twist off when you put some pressure on it. Drilling a hole threw it and cutting it out will also work. You'll just...

    reduce under hood temperatures

What about ceramic coating? That's supposed to keep heat in, plus it won't hold moisture like a wrap will or take up as much space. Plus it just looks nice on your boost tubes if you do them as well (can't realy see the up pipes or manifolds when installed).

    Need Some Advice...

I'd say go with a custom tune on the SCT. You can get it set up to your driving style. Economy, Towing, Hauling A**, just about anything. You can also choose to "delete" your EGR valve (lower egts and no more stuck egr valves) if you so choose.

    Overhead Console

I seem to be having trouble keeping my compass calibrated. It'll stay cal'd for a day or two, then go blank and need to be re-cal'd. :cussing: I've manually calibrated it several times and even changed the magnetic zones with no luck. Anybody els have this trouble. That thing just drives me nuts.

    Which exhaust????

I think they're mostly the same as long as you have a straight-thru muffler. Heard alot of good things about MBRP systems. I personally fabricated a 4" system from the downpipe back with no muff or cat. It sounds sweet. It's just a matter of personal preference as far as sound. I would suggest...
