    might have fubar'd the head gaskets causing the overheat. I was thinking about the EGR valve, but since it does it without the chip......:dunno Might be time to upgrade the head gaskets and install some studs. If that don't work, I'd suggest you get a custom tune that eliminates the EGR valve...

    Where are you guys getting this valve from? Is it a ford part or is there a vendor that sells them online? Sounds like a pretty good idea. The "fuel bath" isn't exactly my idea of fun.

    I believe you only have to modify your firewall to install a 4" downpipe. I believe a 3.5" dp will fit without modification. Correct me if I'm wrong.

    The pistons and crank were never removed. The heads were pulled and the scarring was visible so that ment a new short block, further disassembly was not required. The marks went all the way to the top of the deck and as far down as you could see with the piston still installed.
