    Bilstien help

I know this is an old thread, but I just put mine on and the rear blue is down and front blue is down. Have to pay attention to where the rubber and metal sleeves are on each end to know which way they go. All Stickers are readable. Heading out now for the first trip with them on.

    Which Bilstein shock

04 stock height, but reading guys are using the 5100, but not saying if they have a lift. Bilstein shows those shocks for 4-6" lift. Would they work or do they work for stock height or go with the 18 and 19 recommended? I do a lot of hauling with gooseneck. 20-24,000 lbs from MN to CO...

To help you feel better about your age

Would take a .01 for every bail of hay I put up with an old B like that. My uncle still has the 1hp JD engine we used to run the irrigation pump. Looks a lot like that one on the left.

    Need advice???

$74.23 is what it cost me. Other than the $500 to get the ARP studs shipped in. Ford did all the work under warranty. If you guys are ever near Omaha, NE and need work done just let me know. Have a great mechanic in the area.

To help you feel better about your age

    Need advice???

I lifted my heads running 36lbs of boost at 4200 rpms pulling 26k. What do you expect? I knew it was a matter of time because of the way it was being ran. Put ARP studs in and haven't had an issue. The heads could of used 2 to 4 more bolts in them, but with the ARPs they hold together fine...

    SCT tire size setting

Best thing to do is go to the manufacture and get their information on RPM on that particular tire. You can do a calculation to get close, but there are many variations to a 37" tire. Need side wall height and #of plys to get the most accurate #, but much easier to just get the information...

    Squeak in the front end

All of mine can be lubed on an 04 F350, but I do have a boot that has a hole in it, so I lube that once every 2k miles just too keep the water out of it. (If grease is in there then water can't be IMO).

    Squeak in the front end

Check the sway bar behind the Tie Rod. It goes across at angle. The bushings could be worn and that will squeek every time the front end moves and especially when turning the wheels.

    Squeak in the front end

For a quick check if you have someone there with you start the truck up and put yourself by the stabilizer shock and have someone just turn the wheel left and than right and see if the noise is there at the shock. Odds are it is coming from the top of the shock casing that is closests to your...

    Squeak in the front end

Replace the steering stabilizer shock. If you drive it during the winter in snow or any salt roads they only last to about 50-60k.

    New 6.4 PSD outpulls 6.6 Duramax/5.9 Cummins

I didnt like the way the Ford looked vs the Dodge. The trialer hitch coupler looked awfully low to the ground. Almost looks like he drug it in that first dip and then at the end, but it could of been the similar color of the truck and the tongue.

    Daily P.S.A.

Always had a hard time turning things down like that. Maybe it's because I lived in MN and knew things like this could happen, but I figured the money that was being saved by me not being home to use anything we enough that shutting everything down and taking the chance didn't make sense.
