Have a sensor or something connected on the lower driver side of fuel filter housing on a 2002 7.3. It's not hooked up and the wires have been tied off. Curious what it is and why someone would disconnect it.
That sounds possible. I went out and looked real quick but did not see the tube you were speaking of. Any helpful hint how to find it? Color, size, routing? I would love to take car of this. I just did ball joints today!
Hello, I have a 2002 F450 with 252K miles, I just drove it from California to Colorado and it runs gret exept when you first start it. Very low power, hardly gets out of it's own way. Once you drive it a while it runs great. Any ideas?
I am having this exact problem of the hard start and white smoke as it gets cooler. But also I noticed the truck leaks diesel fuel on the drive way just a bit until it is warm and it makes a on and off noise similar to a garden hose being tuned on and off.
ANy ideas why that would happen?
Anyone ever had a low gear damaged on one of these? This one will not engage, just spins. All other gears work just fine. THis is still on the truck I am looking to buy. Shop quoted a 2600 dollar repair. Sounds about right but is that the only option?
Thanks for the help
Took it to the dyno today, turbo is working but truck has issues of neglect. Needs that sensor as well as a cam sensor. Died on me several times. Air filter was very dirty.
Thanks
My concern is because it has been disconnected for two years or more with the previous owner, that they may not have been that careful. How would I tell if it had been overboosted and damaged the turbo?
I hope you can see this picture. I am looking to buy this truck 2001 350 but it has this broken sensor, there are vacuum lines running to the turbo wastegate solinoid and to the air intake. My guess is this controls the wastegate position by mesuring boost. Can someone tell me what it is...
