Fuel Mileage............
Must be nice getting such good fuel milage. I am getting tired of 11 mpg. My neighbor just bought a 04 cummins and he is getting around 20..... Makes me want to park the stroker and buy a ram. Does anyone know if wider tires or lifting would cause a significant drop in mpg??? I have read about...- forddeerediesel

Fuel Mileage............
Hey bart, I would like to here what you found out on your mpg..... Mine is the same way, Early 99 F-350 w/singles mostly stock, and no matter what I get 11 to 11.5 mpg no matter how I drive. Would sure like to get some help. Thanks- forddeerediesel

I've got the gauges, and I have tryed Superchips before, I didn't like having to stop and shut the truck off to switch the power setting. Just trying to get a feel for what is liked and disliked.- forddeerediesel

Now its making a TON of $#%$ White Smoke!
I had a problem with smoke, blueish white, only when there was no boost. I checked the turbo and had 1/4" endplay in the shaft.... When it was making enough boost, it would stop smoking.- forddeerediesel

Auto Tranny ?'s
I got 168000 out of my early 99. I put 100000 on it since I had it, and pulled 20k+ with it. Have to watch temp closely. Currently having a problem with my tranny, but I think it is electrical. now that I have led you to think that auto's are ok, I would still have rather had the 6 speed.......- forddeerediesel

Auto shifting problems
I have a 99 f-350 173000 miles, tranny rebuilt at 168000 miles, since the rebuild I have thought it still was not right. I have noticed an some days that it will shift into overdrive between 45-50 mph, and on other days, on the same roads I have to let off the accelerator to get it to shift into...- forddeerediesel

Low MPG
also forgot, oil level is good. I am running John Deere 15W40+50. That is what we run in Everything, could this be a problem?- forddeerediesel

I have an early 99 f-350 4x4 with 162,000 mi. Very good, strong pick-up, but I am only getting about 10-11 mpg, pulling or not. Tranny rebuilt aprox 2000 mi ago and didn't improve milage. While the shop had it they coded the motor, told me that I needed #8 inj and a new ECU. wanted a second...- forddeerediesel
