    Throttle Position Sensor --- TPS

And the word from our sponser is (envelope please) It is a valid part number:sweet I'm going to order one, and will post whether it works (yeah, I'll be a sceptic till it bolts in and actually functions)

    Throttle Position Sensor --- TPS

Well, maybe the aftermarket is coming to our rescue! Havent heard fom powerstrokeshop yet, but checked Napa and they now show a TPS available. Will have to look into this more

    Throttle Position Sensor --- TPS

I sent them an e-mail. I also noticed they sell the whole assembly in another section of the site, so I have a feeling the TPS listing is in error. Still hoping to find a cheaper way to rebuild the pedal asembly. The $400-700 from Ford for the 94-95 pedal assembly is completely unreasonable.

    Bypass oil filters

Thanks, I'll check around. Far as I know you can probably mount them sideways, but I'd call the manufacturer to be sure. My bypass is mounted high up inside the frame right behind the trans cross member. Haven't seen any chips or dings on them yet so probably fairly safe from road debris...

    Throttle Position Sensor --- TPS

I noticed one of the site sponsers, Power Stroke Shop, lists the Throttle Position Sensor. Does anyone know if this really works? Far as I knew Ford was only making the TPS available as part of the complete $400 (gulp) Throttle Assembly... FWIW I have been through the standard parts catalog...

Is there a pill for our affliction?

Try tearing down one of your injectors, you'll hear all kinds of strange noises:eek: On mine, I could slightly smell anti-freeze in the cab when the radiator started cracking at the top hose connection. The coolant was dripping into the fan and blowing back. Hopefully it was just the guy...

Little rubber thingy on the end of my injector plug

My apologies for the Monty Python sounding title:D When I changed my Inj o-rings, I noticed the rubber gromets on the injector end of the UVC wire connectors were hardened. One was damaged so I threw some o-rings on for now. The wires and plugs themselves seem fine. Has anyone ran across...

Just an update, the Injector article is now in the WIKI!!! A big :thanks to 95_stroker for the help getting it there (actually he did most of the work;) Also a great big thanks to everyone for not noticing I mis-spelled HEUI as HUEI in the Title:doh: If you did notice, an especially...

    Bypass oil filters

Man, is that still going on:rolleyes: As I recall the year ago thread led to about 2 weeks of Shoebear and I PM'ing back and forth. I got my Amsoil Bypass around the same time he got his and I pulled mine apart to clean it (looked dirty outside) and found alot of machining debris left inside...

Injector Teardown & Inspection after 8k on WVO

Interesting how FN did that. You know, he's getting some publicity here, maybe he should join up and add SuperDutyDiesel.com to his links too;)

    Underhood critters

I'll give my nod to peanut butter baited traps too. That "Rat Zapper" looks entertaining tho, got any videos of it in action:eek: Dang, I'm having flashbacks to growing up in the mountains now. Usually, the dogs, and the cats tough enough to survive the dogs, kept such events to a minimum...

    PART NUMBERS PAGE

Hey guys, Alot of you probably already know about the PARTS PAGE I maintain (link is always in my sig), which is primarily geared towards 94-97 PSD's, but I'll list other Ford diesel parts if offered. If I get enough of any specific generation I'll start separate lists. Anyway, feel free...

DIY Injector Teardown/Assembly for the Hardy (or is it foolhardy)

Ok, the Injector article is complete, and should be printer friendly too for the most part. Probably still a few typos, but hey, it's free, so lets not be picky;) DIY Injector Teardown and Reassembly

    Hi-Po veggie PSD Motor possible?

I'm not too familiar with all the injector modification tricks, yet:D . If it were me I'd try to get access to an injector testing station and watch what happens with different hole modifications using heated WVO. Maybe some of the bigger engines HEUI tips would flow enough while giving a good...

    Hi-Po veggie PSD Motor possible?

The biggest potential concern I am aware of is the veggie does not atomize as easily. Thus larger injector nozzle holes in a high volume injector may cause extreme amounts of unburned fuel. Proper heating may help alleviate this as well as careful selection of nozzles. I am only aware of one...

    Leaking fuel pump

Not sure what they are made of but it's black and springy on mine. I know others have had to replace them after awhile tho I re-used mine. I tightened mine pretty good with a big box wrench then whacked it tighter with a mallet. Not sure exactly what torque "whacked" translates to but it didn't...

California License Requirements for WVO Collection/Transport

Some of you may have been aware of the previous transporter license requirement, costing $175 per year. This is in the jurisdiction of the Cal Dept of Agriculture, Meat and Poultry Inspection division. I can link the full regs later, but for all intents and purposes, the CDFA's lawyers tell them...

Injector Teardown & Inspection after 8k on WVO

Yeh, that big X gives you surprisingly little room to work with. I've heard there are some custom WVO tanks being developed tho. I'll let you know if I hear any more on that
