    cps recall

Don't know if they do, but the zone does for 25 bucks, if they charge anymore than that go somewhere else, they are cheap now, used to be 100 bucks or more.

    cps recall

You'll get a letter crummy, mines a 97 and I got a letter today :) Gonna try and persuade the local stealer they can fill out a work order or whatever and ill change it in their lot so they can have the old one, just don't want to wait for them to do it when I can do it quickly. Let alone the...

Need Help With My Wildman Chip

I would have to say your ipr is fine. When the icp is jacked up like an extreme tune, or 10k, or 5.6k mods for that matter, the pcm has a rough time figuring out how to idle the truck smoothly. Only thing I would ask about is if the stock injector intensifier pistons could possibly bottom out...

pyro temps towing to hot for stock?

??????You're truck doesn't have an exhaust brake or vacuum line unless someone's changed somthing up. You should have a exhaust backpressure valve, which is ran by oil pressure, no vacuum lines.

pyro temps towing to hot for stock?

No, the intake will lower egts. With my truck setup exactly like it is now, from a dead stop accelerating empty untill governor cutoff in fourth WILL not overheat the temps. You gotta problem man. Even with my programmer in any setting with stock injectors, it was not even close to getting...

pyro temps towing to hot for stock?

That is were tourqe and horsepower are both working for you. You can make tourqe at lower rpms, but horsepower requires rpms. You can't wind that turbo up unless you're throwing some revs at it. Yes, the mileage goes downhill, but try redline rpms with a big block, you're talking 5 mpgs, not...

pyro temps towing to hot for stock?

Second that, they sure aren't helping at all. But I didn't notice in your pm, get rid of that pos downpipe asap, they are highly restictive. Once you take it out to put the new one in you will understand. By the measurements, they are as big as a 3" pipe, but mandrel bends flow much better...

    fuel mileage

Glad someone else see Nitrogen for what it is, BOGUS. Sounds like maybe you're buddies dad needs to keep his tires inflated.

    fuel mileage

I see you have 285's, that is plenty bigger than stock size to skew your figures for mpg if you didn't recal the speedopdometer, if you haven't there are articles that tell you how, or if not comfortable, measure it out, figure out your code, and send it to Tacoma speedometer or something like...

rear brakes locking up on light braking.why?

Is it usually on the first few brake applications? These trucks lock up the rears hard the first few brake applies if it is slightly humid or you've driven through water, etc etc... Your drums flash rust while they set and the rust makes for very grabby brakes the first few applies, usually by...

Need to know how many quarts the rear end and tranny take

Little less than four on the rear end I think, Don't know for sure, it may have something different than my sterling, maybe a dana 80??? If so is probably a little more. The ZF5 spd takes around 4.5 if I remember right. It takes synthetic mercon automatic tranny fluid.

    Starter Troubleshooting help needed

IF your voltage is being pulled down to much bad cables CANNOT be the cause, the voltage is going somewhere, if the cables had to high of resistance they couldn't carry enough amps to drop the voltage.

    fuel mileage

What he said, but unless he drives it like a raped ape at 90 miles an hour that tuner isn't his trouble. I have a scmt with stage 1's. Tow safe, performance, or high performance any of the three get me 17-18 average everyday, up to 20 on a trip. I drive the same with it on any setting, really...

why is there a diff between being cold and warm?

ROFL Like he said though, WTS light is nothing to do with gp on time. Just a calculated guess by the pcm of when it should start, not always right, esp for us guys that see cold weather. To add something to my last post though, I said the only major benefactor of cold oil was the auto...

why is there a diff between being cold and warm?

What Rick said, but you do have a straight pipe, so I'll make it simple. If your truck sounds like a jet engine when its not running good, your ebpv is stuck, otherwise everything else. My truck shows what you talk about though. We both have 97 f250 with 5 speeds, what is your pcm code...

i hope i never have to change the glow plugs again!!!

When dealing with diesels white\grayish smoke also means an uncomplete burn, or air in fuel in diesels with typical injection systems, which also causes an incomplete burn.

major issues with BDP fuel system!!

My thoughts to, can you put a guage dead head in line right after the pumps? (Sure ya can duh, just wonder if you have the fittings...) Sounds like your pump is running and producing flow, just not enough to make pressure, or meet higher demand. These trucks will run with next to nothing fuel...

anyway to get a better turning radius on my 97?

No offense bud but I'll keep my dana 50 twin beam over the unitized bearing and hub POS front axle in the SD trucks, there is 1200 dollars worth of wheel bearings on those things. Less than 100 bucks and we can have new bearings, races and seals, and we can adjust them in the meantime....
