anyway to get a better turning radius on my 97?

dump the lift and the 35's I know I am used to driving long trucks, drove em all my life, but I don't have trouble with mine. But what crumm said though converting to a d60 should help.

    pan gasket

That bad design took 50 cent cheap outta the equation a couple years ago. You now buy a hole new plug with a new design oring, one of those "plastic like" seals, not an oring and back up ring. Depending on your dealer they are anywhere from 25 - 40 bucks...

This is a hard one to figure out ! !

The most likely culprit is the fuel pump, other than that, the fuel filter bowl itself has some rubber fuel lines at the bottom back that are prone to leaking. There are also plugs for the fuel rails at teh rear of the heads that can leak, if you look up from the bottom you can see them, or...

lug vs rev which is better

I built my own injectors with Dzljim's DIY kit, so it only cost me 425 bucks. I don't even have a good chip right now, just a scmt and it will pull great, I haven't dynoed, but I would guess 275 to 300 to the ground with my setup, with the right mods stage ones are capable of 350 +. Also don't...

lug vs rev which is better

With my mods 2k is like having nothing there, I can still leave most cars in my smoke with 2k behind me, and I have 3.55s, can't imagine how good 4.10s pull. Even with 5 or 6 k its really not all that noticable, with a few "extras" it is nothing short of amazing what these things are capable...

how long can stock clutch last with stage 1 injectors and chip?

??? I've never ridden in an auto powerstroke that had as many mods as mine, but the ones I have ridden in did not impress me, the e40d leaves alot to be desired in stock form behind these engines. I never plan to drag race my truck or anything, so me its manual all the way. I've heard estimates...

lug vs rev which is better

Unloaded, who cares, drive it however you want, but if you are loaded, DO NOT lug it. When they are lugged these things don't make much boost, at lower rpms they don't flow as much HPOP oil, therefore less pressure for injection, in short if you lug em when towing they WILL get hot on the egt...

how long can stock clutch last with stage 1 injectors and chip?

I would measure its time in seconds, no joke. I recently put an upgraded clutch in mine due to slippage. Worst part is my clutch, flywheel, and pressure plate looked brand new, the stock setup just plain won't hold the kind of power capable. You can drive it, but no way you can get all the...

    manual or auto for towing

for towing hands down stick, they have more longevity and better control. Plus chunk the auto and your talking alot more than pocket change, chunk the stick and you can pick up a take out tranny a few hundred... for racing hands down automatic, you just can't outshift em in a race screnario.

    egts-issue on stock engine?

That is were you want to be for lower egts, gotta get the turbo throwin in lots of cool air to keep the temps down. Unless you have a lot different computer code than me there is NO WAY possible to get it hot with 2k on it.

    Running Cold?!

You're bronco should be fine, but on certain applications you will overheat without one, the water doesn't flow slow enough for adequate heat transfer to take place. I had this happen on a toyota engine once, didn't have a t-stat, but found a washer that fit in place of it to restrict flow a...

    Turbo questions

You're welcome. My brother was army airbourne. Lots of my Dad's genreration was in the military. My boss at work was a Marine. One of the biggest regrets in my life is letting my Dad talk me out of joining, before I had a family at home and such. I see, was wondering how to plumb it...

    Turbo questions

First of all Thank you for your service, though it might from some, it doesn't go unappreciated by my family and I. The exhaust outlets are the same. I don't know for sure about the line size, I know in the factory setup on my truck the feed is about 1\2" or a little less, and the return port...

    hypothetical question

Best practice would be to pull the relay for the IDM so it won't fire, crank it over until you think you've filled the system, then crank a little more, then start. That will prevent "dry firing" your injectors, as for the pump question, no a "helper" isn't needed, would only make heat in the...

    stealth HPOP issues again!!!

He tried different burns last time and it still wouldn't run right. The early ipr's had an edge filter on them. If I remeber they are longer and are not interchangable at all. Here's a thought, ohm out the wires from ipr connector all the way back to the pcm. Heres my theory for...

    stealth HPOP issues again!!!

Second that if I can afford it at the time.. Man that sucks, you have been fartin with this thing what seems like forever. If I remeber right you had an anti drainback modification on this thing pre-stealth, any chance that's affecting it? If we are back to square one, lets start there. I...

    clutch or synchronizers?

' Depends on what is wrong and if they are pulling fixing and putting back. They aren't tough to work on if you have the tools and the time. The syncros can be pricey, if you don't have the time to mess with it you will be money ahead to slap another in it most likely.
