    Tire help, BFG or GoodYear

Yeah the way diesel prices are... my 35x12.50's are killing me. Like I said, awsome tires, but $5/gal makes ya rethink some stuff. Either one, the GY or the BFG would be an improvement (MPG wise) over the Monster 35's I'm running which weigh 71 pounds each!! I'll keep taking opinions and...

    Tire help, BFG or GoodYear

Looking for some input on tires. I currently have the factory 20x8.5" factory wheels and I went from the 275/65 OEM's to a 35x12.50 ProComp Xtreme AT. First off let me say I love the procomps. VERY VERY Quiet, lots of meat. HOWEVER. At $5/gal I need to start looking for every mpg. I'm pretty...

    exhaust leaks normal?

same reason I'm not going to weld mine up. I can live with a few minor blk soot streaks :) that way I have a lot more options.

    exhaust leaks normal?

yeah, magnaflow. Like I said, it's almost nothing.. after thousands of miles you see some blk soot, that's it. I'm figuring some Band clamps would be a better idea and they'd apply much better pressure to the pipes.

    exhaust leaks normal?

I think I should of pushed the clamps back beyond the slits a tad more. I'm not used to Pipe clamps. I always weld, but it's SST. But I called the tech line and they said positiont he clamps over the slits.... OK captain.

    exhaust leaks normal?

Ok, I put on a 4" turbo back exhaust and it's leak free until after the Cat area, where you use U bolts. Where the pipes come together, those slits, you can see over time some blk soot around them. Is this normal on aftermarket 4" exhausts? I put the U bolt halfway back/forward on the slits if...

    Oil Filter Discussion

Update on the oil filters. I changed my oil this weekend and went with a regular purolator. it's the SAME thing as the OEM Ford 2016 filter. Purolator and Ford are buying them from the same company. They had the same pleating, felt, height, and even same serial numbering system. IDENTICAL, but...

Hmmm. Might take it out and re-install it for peace of mind.

    Oil Filter Discussion

I'm going to re-exam the OEM and the new purolator. I didn't know how the Base bypasses and such worked. so it taught me something, if nothing else other than how the oil flows through and all that stuff in the housing. I did catch one thing that worries me... the inner tube might be restrictive...

That video might be a sale pitch, but I think everyone can learn something from it. You just have to be smart enough.

    Oil Filter Discussion

Last time I went to Advance, I pulled all 4 filters and lined them up side by side. I pulled PureOne, Purolator, Fram and Fomoco. Guess what. I could of swapped the Fomoco, purolator and frams... IDENTICAL HEIGHT, color, pleating, felt, everything. I could not find a difference. You can't tell...

    Oil Filter Discussion

I'm currently running the new 1pc design from PureOne. it has a metal inner cage and all. NO probs so far. my next filter will be a Regular Purolator. Why? b/c it's the SAME thing now as the M/C or Fram. All 3 are buying Racor filters.

    Lund Roll up Tonneau ?

Trying to figure out why they are $100 cheaper than Access/Lorado.

    Lund Roll up Tonneau ?

Appreciate the offer, I'd be all over it if it were for a short bed.

    Lund Roll up Tonneau ?

that roll-N-lock is about 2-3x's over my budget. over $1g for that thing. Not happening. I can get the Lund for $350, or the Lorado/Access for $430.

    Lund Roll up Tonneau ?

The cheapest roll-up tonneau I found is the Lund. Has anyone had problems with it? Where is it made? china or USA? I've also looked at the Lorado/Access and the Truxedo LoPro QT which are both the same style, but a lot more money. Not sure what the justification is, but I'm looking into it...

    Have you heard about Dodge.

Dodge has some good points, but overall they suck. They seem have always been very inovative in a way, but that inovation comes at the consumers experiement... i mean experience :lmao If wee took the good points of each big 3 and made 1 vehicle... or line up... BAM. perfect car/trucks.

    Sell F250 for F150?

yup exactly. A used F150 might not get much OOO and AAAHHHH around town and my friends might rag on me for my move, but then again they live at home with mom & dad at 25yrs old and only own a diesel truck. I live on my own, and pay for myself 100%. Sound sleep is always good too. :D and I...

    Sell F250 for F150?

Well think about it, at the current rate, $520/mo x 48 more payments I have left. It's $25k. So in 4yrs I just got done paying this one off, when I could go out and buy anohter 2yr old F150 lol. and still have no payments again!

    Sell F250 for F150?

I'm not swapping the 250 to a 150 for MPG increase. My main goal is to have a truck I own outright. Regular gas in Tampa is $3.10/gal. Diesel is $3.99/gal, which is a perk at the moment, but still a perk. But like I said, I just want a truck that I own outright with no payment, and the insurance...

    Sell F250 for F150?

That is true guys, maybe I should go older on a truck. Make my Budget like $15k. See what that buys for a decent used truck.

    Sell F250 for F150?

Well, we bought the fiance a brand-new Suzuki Arie (sp?) wagaon last year brand new for $15k out the door with a 70k/7yr warranty. gets an average of 27mpg around town and 32mpg hwy. $10 or less and I change the oil myself every 7,500mi and rotate tires myself. We've spent $0 on that car other...

    Sell F250 for F150?

Having 2 cars is not feasable due to I can't afford it. That $20k would come from selling my PSD. I can't go buy another car b/c of extra insurance costs, registration & tags, etc... it'd be a ton of money. I did it last year with another job I had and it did not really pay off in the end when...

    Sell F250 for F150?

Why not get some opinions... the past few weeks have been finicially diastorous for me. On my way home today I saw $4/gal for diesel at 3 stations here in Tampa... this day came to soon. Anyway.... I bought my truck 1yr ago and love it, but do have some issues. Heres what I've been thinking...
