    To level it, you need 2.5" of lift in the front. I'd go with a Rancho 2.5" kit. It includes New springs, not spacers. New Radius arms to correct for caster.     gave me a tapered block. and the tall side is toward the rear; pointing the pinion up. I have a feeling flat blocks would have worked better. or even turning the tapered blocks around.

    Lockers Anyone?

    I've run a full blown detroit locker in the F&R of my early 90's 4runner. I drove it daily and had a 5spd. It actually had better road manners than I'd ever expect. I went from Open diff to it and couldn't really tell the difference. I'm debating putting a detroit locker in the rear of my FX4.

    ... about 4-6oz seems to be the ball park. I'll just do 5oz. right in the middle. I'm going to do it tomorrow after work.!! I'll be using the green antifreeze. do you use it straight or water it down? Or buy the 50/50 premixed stuff? I'm guessing use 4-6oz of full strength.

    so how many bb's do you put in? how do you put them in? I've never tried this bb's idea. Any bb's will work? or do they have to be special bb's? Let's face it, bb's are cheaper than centramatics. but how do you get them out if you ever want to? vacuum cleaner on the valve stem?

    well, going by my owners manual. they recomend 10-30 over the 5-40 for warmer climates. Go figure.

    And then theres the 5w-40 topic. In my 07 owners book, the 5-30 is below the 10-30, making the 5-40 used in colder climates even than 10-30. but supposedly MC is making 5w-40 syn diesel oil now, and is "recomended for the 6.4".

    I looked at the owner's manual for my 07 6.0, and it "recomends" 15-40. But 10-30 is "acceptable if not towing trailers". They put the 5-40 below the 10-30 even.... for colder climates.

    I have an 07 6.0 FX4. with my stock 275's & 20's I got 20-22 hwy at 65-70 cruise. I put on some 35x12.50 Procomp Xtreme AT's (very quiet by the way) and my milage is now 18.5 at 70.     a level kit raises the front end 2.5". so the geometry is not 100% stock. But I guess it'd be alright if I go that route.

    what do you guys think about running a 4" dropped pitman arm with the 2.5" level kit? Yes it's over corrected... but it's closer to stock. 2.5" difference and 1.5" difference.
