    Glow plug relay voltage

    A friend of mine had this happen and it turned out he had the incorrect relay, got the correct one from ford and problem solved. IIRC his glow plugs were staying on and getting hot.

    Glow plug

    On my 97 psd I have a glow plug issue. it starts hard but there is no power to the relay on the large posts so even if the gpr is working there is no power to be sent to the gp's, but then sometimes it does have power so it comes and goes, Any thoughts or help thanks guys.

    Yep the nut/weld idea is good but if that doesn't work might buy a cheap torx but and weld it in the end of the bolt and then replace the bolt.

    Well for all of you who know me can laugh you damn asses off. Long story short, I'm Back driving the 97 psd and the ford/cummins has a cracked head and a blown head gasket. parts total, 1100$ new head and injectors and gasket set with me doing the work.-mad

    as far as I"m concerned auto meter, pricol, and isspro are the best, i have two sets of pricol's and I like them and have had one set for 4 years and had not problems, one set of black face and one set of white face.

    It won't it stays in the pump, I actually broke my dowell on the bottom of the pump off in the block prying the pump out a little too hard, but it just pulled out with a pair of pliers. hope this helps

    It is not that bad, I did mine a couple of months ago, remove the Y-pipe, and the big banjo bolt on the turbo side of the pump. the hoses can be removed without removing the filter pot, I had to turn the pump counterclockwise about an 1/8 of a turn and bend the hose and then rotate the pump into...

    Wonder if the high pressure oil is draining back and starving the injectors for oil pressure, IIRC the 97's were the only one that have a check valve that keeps this from happening, Wonder if when you shut it off the resivoir in the front of the high pressure pump is draining back to the pan and...

    i have an oil leak and need help

    Check you actuator rod for the exhaust back pressure valve under the back of the turbo. they can leak too. also back of th engine above the bell housing It is oil applied and spring released IIRC. Just a thought.
