    You sure? With the stock tune on my BTS and a 6.0 cooler, I was doing 60 degrees. With a stock trans, I was doing no more than 70-75 on a hot day.

    Well, with say a 6.0 cooler you should be seeing about 70 deg above ambient if you run it with some DP-tuner tunes.

    Sounds like a problem I had. Diode locked up. Call Brians Truck Shop to confirm. It sounds like time for a rebuild. How is the fluid? High, low or burnt?

    I had that issue too where the truck kinda cuts off for a split second. It feels like a road bump. A couple weeks later, the CPS died completely. Not saying that is your problem but something to look at. Of course, I just did a fuel mod so I thought it was the fuel that was causing it.

    The impression you gave is that you fill up at 3/4 tank and it went 79 miles. If so, that is hard to get a mpg. When I calculate mpg, I fill the tank till I can see the fuel and I rock the truck to burp it. What is your mpg at the end of the day. BTW, we don't trust the overhead console too...

    ULSD is the new kid on the block. Actually, it is the ONLY fuel you have commercially. You may lose a little mpg but it is not a lot. Personally, I haven't lost even 2 mpg. It is one and some change.

    If you drain the TC and pan, you should get most of it. Of course, if you want to be anal about it, you can blow air thru the cooler lines.

    supposedly with gold coolant you don't have to add the FW-15 additive. According to many discussions we have had, seems like you probably need Fleetrite or Rotella ELC (red one) to just fix it and forget it.

    An 01 makes me think it is the mechanical diode they put in it that has screwed up. Mine did that. Check the trans fluid and see if it is burnt. Assuming that the fluid level is good that is.
