    Not really. However, the problem is that I had a BTS VB and now a BTS trans so the fluid part is not even in the equation. I got synthetic because it is better from the standpoint that it is not as affected by heat. Also I change every 30K.

    I run about 80 deg above ambient, give or take pulling about 16500#. 8K on the Excursion and 8.5K on the Toy Hauler. All I have is a BTS trans and 6.0 cooler. IIRC, it was 90 and some change with the stock trans and the 6.0 Cooler.

    I just did the swap. I noted that the wheelwells height was 37.25 in the Front and 40 in the rear before the springs. After the springs, it was 39 and 40.5. Should I put some spacers in the back to get back the rake it had or does it matter? TIA

    What was the ambient temp? Sounds high to me. I never had that even towing an 8500# RV.

    For the 01 Ford Excursion, I have D codes front and G codes rear. Your chart doesn't show that. Just an FYI. BTW, I am swapping them out to a set of F250 springs. U codes front and A codes rear. Anything else I need besides the springs, U-bolts, elbow grease and the handy list of expletives? TIA

    Now if you bought a Ford Reman and they see you have that Bullydog, they could deny warranty.

    But even if you do break it OUTSIDE of the 2 yr written warranty, BTS will fix it for you for less than what a new TC costs or so I have heard.

    If you do that, you are probably looking at rebuilding the trans.

    If you put an expensive TC and just replace worn parts as opposed to wearable parts, you are asking for trouble. If that breaks, you are screwed since there is no way to clean a TC except to cut it open. Either I do the whole thing or I don't want to get into the trans.

    Who tuned the SCT? Was it from somebody or from SCT itself? I have one of Jody's (DP-Tuner) 60HP Tow tune and it shifts just fine. Actually, I only have the one tune and the PCM is set up with that tune.

    So they just went from the trans to the external cooler? I know mine goes from the trans to the radiator to the external cooler and then back. I changed to the 6.0 unit and got rid of my 7.3 one. I thought it was explained to me that the gas engines had higher RPM so they needed a bigger cooler...

    Well, firstly, if he doesn't find it better, I would assume there is some return options. Secondly, I have tried hypertech, SLP and Superchips with their "one size fits all" and while they did do something good, it was nowheres compared to when I got mine custom tuned on a dyno. So, 2nd best...
