    I've never heard of a shutdown due to extended idling. I use my truck for equipment service and I had plenty of -20 to -30 (F) service calls last winter. Run on elevated idle all day. No problems. :sweet

    I would probably recommend opening the mirrors up and checking out where the unknown wires go before I applied any power. Wouldn't want to let the smoke out of the mirrors :D

    Biggest concern with aftermarket tanks is to be absolutely sure they have no problems with water intrusion. Some tanks have had problems with this, but I believe the majority of the problems were due to installation errors.
