    Exhaust Guide

That is great. Give me a call. I don't have any finished parts made for 5" pipe, but I think we can make a 5" disc to fit into a belled connection in the system and let the inserted pipe capture it for testing anyway. I am willing to build the part if you are willing to share data and...

    Exhaust Guide

I did not mean we have no testing done and want you to spend your money to be the guinea pig. We have half a dozen truck or so which have been running the Exhaust Guides with all reporting results much like Joes. On my truck the EGTs are definately down and the mileage improved. What I mean...

    Exhaust Guide

Kwazyca, We have not been doing this long enough to have reliable test data to quote and have not had a chance yet to try one in a straight piped truck yet either, however with the change in sound it made on the trucks we have installed it on, my guess is it should work well for a straight...

    Exhaust Guide

I don't have 5" made up yet, but have already gotten several requests for them. May have to get working on 5" soon with all the interest.

    Exhaust Guide

We haven't had a chance to try one on a straight piped truck yet, but I have tried it on my truck both with and with out the Aeroturbine with pretty much the same observations as Big Joe. Both my Ford and the 04 Dodge in our shop are showing slight mpg improvements as well. Look down this page...

    Pick your chips wisely

If the chip is a Banks Big Hoss, we can reburn it to any power level and any catch code, so the chip keeps its value and Banks has been around a long time and should be around in the future.

    Exhaust Systems

Most of the major brands will pretty much sound and perform in similar fashion. Banks Monster exhaust is one of hte best fitting systems we have used and also one of the quietest as well. We also have Silverline in polished 304 SS and duals and aluminized systems as well.

    Aeroturbine

I have one on my truck in a Banks system and the wife has two in the Excursion end to end. The sound is great and the lowering of EGTs is very noticeable. The best place to mount the Aeroturbines is as far forward as possible to get the most benefit.

    Curious About Power

Your brother with the D-Max should take a look at his throttle pedal travel. On many of hte D-Max trucks the pedal hits the floor long before giving the truck full throttle. This can easily be corrected by modying the pedal mount and shimming the bottom stud on the pedal. The gain in...

    Mo guages

Ford paint number is M4JZ-19M547-1077H Medium Parchment. As for the connection to the fuel filter bowl, that fitting is not a pipe thread.

Talk about the 7.3L CPS Here!

4 degree advance CPS? I have been told that injector timing can be advanced by 4 degrees by installing a 1807339CXX CPS used for the DT466E International engine. Has anybody done this or know anything about it?

    Low end surge fix

Recently I had a problem with my truck that only under certian light load conditions, it would surge or buck just a little. Since this has happened to my truck I have spoken with several folks who have expressed similar problems with theirs. I checked for codes, there were none, changed CPS...

Chip & Programers which are the best

We have experience with Banks and Edge and have seen very good performance from both. In the highest power level the EGTs climb very rapidly with the Banks, but can be handled with the addition of their intercooler. The Edge seems to be slightly cooler than the Banks in the highest power level...

    Larger Exhaust and noise

We have installed several Banks Monster exhausts on the 05 and they fit very well and are very near stock sound in the cab. The Banks muffler incorporates an expansion area right at the inlet which helps to eliminate drone and make it a little quieter.

Creaking like a old hay wagon

I had the same problem with my 96 years ago. Mine was caused by the rivets in the cross members working loose. Ford finally drilled them out and replaced them with bolts as I recall. The truck was used for heavy towing and off-road 4x4 and would creek and mone badly until the rivets were...

    Exhaust and Down Pipe

Ford Forgotten is correct. Our exhaust supplier has dyno runs showing small losses in power with the larger pipes. Also the 4" DP is pretty crowded in the 6.0L and may be difficult to install.

    Firestone Ride-Rite Air Suspension

I debated the merrit of the X-Spring or air bags for quite some time before I choose the air bags. Cost is about the same, but that really wasn't a factor in my choice. My truck is a CCLB 4x4 with fiberglass conopy. I have had air bags on the rear since the day the truck was new. In fact the...

    Leveling kit vs. X-spring?

I had debated about this myself for some time. Many recommended the X-Spring fix, but I wanted to keep some adjustability so I opted for Firestone air bags in the front. The Air bags give the adjusability I was looking and did firm the front end and reduce the pitching. The air bags are also...

    Firestone Ride-Rite Air Suspension

Air Bags I have air bags front and rear on my truck. I have had them on the rear of my trucks for the past 10 years and have used them to level the truck with the trailer attached etc. When empty I keep the rears at about 10psi and with a load usually around 40psi. I put the fronts on last...

    Trany Question

I have had to do my tranny a couple of times now. The first time we took the tranny out it was because the TC had ballooned and was slipping badly. I was going to only change the TC at the time, but upon inspection of the internals, coast clutches and OD were toast. So we machined the...

    programmer question

For the 99-03 7.3L trucks performance wise the Juice with Attitude is very similar to the Banks Six-Gun. Moderate power gains by adjusting ICP (Injection Control Pressure) and both have gauges built in. The chips or programmers will have higher hp gains and more performance that the Six-Gun or...

    Falling on it's face

It sounds like the TC is going away to me to have that much slipping going on that the engine rpm is too slow when the TC locks up. Here is a simple thing to try which may or may not make any diffierence, but it will make your wife wonder what you are doing when you tell her you are training...

    Tranny Gauge Not Working -

Gauge test For the Di-Pricol gauge turn the ignition key on without starting the truck so the gauge has power. Remove the lead from the sender and touch it to the trans case. The gauge should go full scale if it has 12VDC and good ground. If the gauge does not move and you have 12VDC and...

    newbie questions

I would recommend the Banks chip with the appropriate modifications to support the power level you choose for towing and every day driving. This woudl include the compressor wheel and Big Head actuator for the turbo. For the air intake Ford AIS and Di-Pricol gauges. I use the Banks 120hp in...
