    thanks for the link. at least i think it only goes 1/2 turn even if you do have to remove the hoses every change, those fitings should last a million oil changes

    injection pressure regulator (ipr) could be faulty/ have a leaking o ring. it is located on top of the pump in the aluminum cover. also how long did you crank it over for? it will take a LOT of cranking to get it started after a hpop replacement, as there is now air in the oil system...

    hmm. mine clears up in about 30 sec to a minute. i tried starting it and using a temp gun on the exhaust manifolds to see if one cylinder was colder than the others, but i couldnt find more than a few degrees difference, so i am leaning towards glow plugs. gonna have to consult my shop...

    hmm i dont think i have that flash, but this is my third winter with this truck and i have never had this problem before!!!! i still suspect something is wrong, as i have started it before (not plugged in) in minus 25 c with no missing . anyone know how to test glowplugs?

    batteries and cables are good there is lots of voltage and it starts good, just sounds like it is missing on one cylinder. gonna have to try starting it cold and using a temp gun to check all the exhaust temps at the manifolds.

    05 6l runs rough for about a minute when not plugged in ( seems to be missing) ( minus 10 C ) after short time it warms up and runs fine. im thinking injector problem, but i do not notice any problem in performance, excessive or white smoke. any ideas?
