    SCT Files

There are about 3 or 4 that are the top dogs. I really can't recommend one over the other as I haven't tried them all. Research the subject and you will be able to draw your own conclusion.

    USING MY BLOCK HEATER?

Extension cord on the mirror is a real good idea. Otherwise you WILL one day drive off with it still plugged in...only for about 100ft max...then it WILL be unplugged somewhere :(

SHOULD I DELETE THE CAT. OR NOT?

I did it and love it. Many comments (good or bad depending how you take it) about the truck sounding like a jet.

    05e16 emission recall 05-06

05E15 is the one that eliminates the input for the back pressure sensor. 05E16 is the one for the cycling of the injectors after shutting down so they relieve oil pressure on the back side of them for prolonged service. I have only had the former performed on my truck. My early '05 does...

    exhaust question

The test in select counties in Illinois are only once every 2 years and they don't test diesels. I do this every two years with my mustang. Although changing a whole X pipe on a car that only sits 6 inches off the ground is a little bit of a pain. I don't know about visual inspections on the...

    exhaust question

Just put a cat delete pipe on the truck the other night in the driveway. Squirt PB Blaster (use safety glasses to protect the eyes) on the 2 bolts up front, a little on the coupling and nut in back of the cat. Move back to the front and loosen the nuts off the stock studs of the cat pipe. Move...

I like it...try it and if you don't like it switch...

Yes or NO on the Muffler

Anybody know the part number for the cat delete test pipe? I have an 05 but I heard the 7.3 test pipe works on the 6.0 also. I want to keep the cat and pipe in tact so when I sell the truck I can put the kitty back on.

    Engine hours

My hours are low on my '05 for the mileage also. I had the instrument panel replaced twice and Ford only updates the mileage when replacing. Hours start over. Get an OASIS report and check that. You might want to read it over real good just to look for anything strange in it. Ask on the forums...

    Motorcraft vs. Fram Oil Filters

I looked at my local Walmart and I found that the Fram filter says it is made in USA while the Motorcraft one says it is made in Germany. Both have the same Pat. Pending number and look to be the same. Could be maybe Fram contracted out their assembly (shrinkwrap filter, O ring and instruction...
