7.3 Fuel Milage, reliability, 2001
I agree 20k is a little high, I bought my 02, Super cab, long box, PSD 4X4, Lariat, with towing package (that was never used), for 10.5k last Oct. It does have more miles on it but I get 17.5 mpg town/highway driving. The lot that I bought from wanted 16.9k for it, but wouldn't go down to 9.5k...- schmuly

Boom ... One less 4R100 in the World
:sorry To hear about it. Mine has over 207k mi thats 331k km and it's original, It may be a time bomb also. About 1 month there was a builder in Seatle addvertising HD 4r100 for IIRC $1995 on craigslist.org. Since you are or the island thats just a ferry away. I know you are limited on the isle...- schmuly

:DIf your column shifter is sloppy there are two torx screws under the steering column that may have come loose. So if you put it into OD it might be only in D and therefore higher RPM's. Lay on your back on the floor looking up under the steering column and wiggle the shifter around lightly...- schmuly

Truck doesn't want to start in park
:lmao Check this out , There are two torx screws under the dash that hold the linkage to the steering column. If they are loose (common) the gear shift lever has tooo much play (slop). The senser for park might not line up. They are hard to see, have to lay on your back, with flashlight in one...- schmuly
