I would use it for extended idling periods to prevent wet stacking. It will warm up about twice as fast when it is cold. (maybe not quite twice as fast) I'm not too sure how much difference it will make cooling down.

I think it is from the constent movement of the shifter. All manufactures seem to eventually have problems with this.

They ended up changing the Fuel injection control module on the drivers side valve cover. Seems to be working good now but I only drove it 10 miles or so. I think they also flashed it (forgot to ask) since it seems to be quieter now.
