I'm just guessing but it probably costs more to manufacturer due to lower sales #'s. Also the extra row of seats would be worth a pretty good chunk of change as well. I still think 6k is a lot. They charge it because they can. :)

With Win 2000 you have to create floppy start up disks as far as I've seen. Perhaps there are different revisions. However if they are machiane specific they probably are bootable cd's. I've seen manufacturer use norton ghost to restore images on hard drives from cd's as well.

What year is the truck? Any aftermarket accessories? Is everything stock?

What do you weight at the track?

How many miles do they last broker? I would think that they would be a faily low wear item. What goes wrong with them? How much do they cost to replace? If it is a big issue I might be interested in seeing if they are rebuildable.

Sorry Roland you are not correct. The Windows XP CD is bootable without any access to the hard drive at all. I've done it many, many, many times.

Thanks, we appreciate the pictures. So if you add an additonal EGR you will get no codes? Are you guys running a blocker plate or just unplugging the original EGR? On Duramax's they are running a blocker plate so no exhaust can enter the EGR cooling chamber at all. Then they get codes...
