    Towing turbo; upgrade or replace?

na, that's from 'bama, kinda scary to take that picture right before you drive down the road. Old St Augustine rd would be pretty much unrecognizable since they finished widening it. I'm off Mandarin Rd down near Julington Creek, in an older neighborhood

    Gear splitter options

gears. gears & tires. the GV will burn up if used in OD with the engine compression braking. You have to change the fluid in there basically every oil change also especially if you're towing. It is essentially a small automatic transmission that only uses the case for a cooler and...

    Towing turbo; upgrade or replace?

Welcome to the site, I see you're just a jump over the river from me in Mandarin. if you're sticking with stock injectors then I'd go for the wickedwheel if you plan for larger injectors then a bigger turbo will be beneficial.

    99 7.3 tow ratings

the GVWR is the weight that the truck axles can have on them (this will include the pin weight of the trailer), also be sure with your SRW truck that you do not exceed the weight ratings on the tires on the rear of your truck or the rear axle rating. Being that you are pulling a wedge and...

    Symptoms of bad/inadequate LPOP

before you get too into the LPOP check to verify that you're not getting enough oil pressure. The highest demands on the LPOP system will be at WOT. Also keep in mind that the oil pressure is maintained by your bearings (both cam & crank) along with the HPOP system's check valves, so just...

    Symptoms of bad/inadequate LPOP

I would swing by the parts shack and buy a cheap electric gauge setup (this way you can run the wires under the hood through the door into the cab for a short term test rather easily. and pull power from the cig lighter. The LPOP is integrated into the front timing cover and is actually a star...

    Symptoms of bad/inadequate LPOP

low oil pressure, when it's completely dead then you'll get an idiot light indication. The oil pressure sending unit is on the HPOP reservoir on the passenger's side, hook a gauge up and see what it does.

    no break lights ??

when you turn the hazards on the turn signals do not work and will be overridden by the brakes when you press them.

    Ever seen this?

that's insane and it sticks up crazy high when mounted in place of the HPOP I'll stick with what I have right now I can make all of the power I NEED on HEUI.

    Gauge kits

ISSPRO is the only gauge mfg that assembles the gauges in the US. The stepper motors in the ISSPRO are made overseas as there is not a steppermotor mfg left in the US :(

Question HPOP Reservoir EMPTY! Is this something wrong?

if the o-rings didn't seat quite right then they can develop a leak over time, easy to do if you did not put enough lube on the o-rings when you slid the injectors in.

    Gauge kits

I have to say that I love the ISSPRO performax setup I have I look forward to adding a few more gauges in the future that's when the performax setup really shines.

    no break lights ??

exactly or a poorly installed alarm or remote start. If your truck is an automatic then failure @ the brake switch may leave you stranded unable to get the truck out of park... guess how I know :rant

    front axle question

diameter of the locking hub will tell you if it is a D44 or D50. roughly 4" is the dana 50 or 60 they both use the same lockout. Here is a good page with info on the Dana 60. If you have 4.10 gears from the factory then you have the D50. Given that the difference is a GVW for the front of...

    Low Mileage 2003 F-350 6.0?

the mileage is believable to me in theory you'll have to verify visually. Many people purchased these trucks for towing 5th wheels or other travel trailers, take note of the brake controller which appears to be a tekonosha prodigy if they only used the truck when they needed a truck or to tow...

    Just pondering an idea

the superlift truspeed is applicable for the Superduty trucks up to 2006 see the application guide here Which is one way of doing it The OBS trucks with the 7.3 used an electronic speedo off the rear diff just like the SD trucks did so there is no gears to change out I can say that on the...

    source for rebuilt injectors

Beans provides excellent customer service and a top notch product. If I were considering injectors today I would consider Beans Swamps Rosewood Fullforce - since they are making the injectors for a wide range of vendors.

    Question problem

rough running and lack of power will come with having the HPOP out until the air gets worked out of the hpop system which is usually around a few hundred miles, but not to the extreme that you're describing. UVC harnesses combined with some trans issues the most likely being low fluid.

    Help needed!!!

you are correct that the 470 & 478 codes are because of your disconnected EBPV Though there is not a history of having this problem. the intake temp sensor high input likely means that the sensor is damaged or the wires are depending on how you handled it when you did your air intake. and...

    radiator hose cold... water pump?

either hook up a temp gauge or remove one of the heater hoses you'll see the flow that you're looking for. In order for your waterpump to fail and not pump any water at all then one of two things needs to happen, 1) the impeller needs to fall off the shaft or 2) the fins on the impeller need...

    Education

yes diesel is lighter than water and so the water will be on the bottom. Keep in mind that you are on the dirty side of the filter so if you have sediments that are not adhered to the filter when you changed it they will settle to the bottom of the filter housing forming a gunk layer that will...

glow plugs and/or GPR are most likely the other contributing factors may include VUC harness and or VC gasket connectors.
