Transfer case motor does not work 4wd
1goug76, I checked both motors like you said. They both work, go figure! I also measured DC voltage at the connector to the switch and read the following. With the clip on top. 1-0.2mV 2-1.2mV 3-6.28V 4-30.8mV I am going to try switching the relays then not sure what to do next? Jim- jasowiii

Igoug76, The motor has 2 connectors on it. Do you know what connector or contact combination drive the motor? Polarity?- jasowiii

Brandon, I replaced the transfer case motor and that did not fix the problem. I guess it is possible that both old and new are bad. Do you know what "voltage" I should expect at the motor? I probed around some time ago and remember getting something (I should have wrote down my measurements)...- jasowiii

Question no 4x4 PLease Help
Can anyone confirm this? I asked a reputable ford mechanic if they are related and he said NO! Funny thing is ESOF and overhead computer display went haywire at the same time:confused: Jim- jasowiii

This is exacltly how my problem began. Finally it decided to stay in 4WD. FYI, you can pull the transfer case motor and take it out of 4WD with a 14mm wrench in a pinch. Jim- jasowiii

I have checked the fuses that appear to be related but do not know for sure wich one is for the ESOF. Anyone know if a fuse is related? Based on the function of the switch I would assume it is connected to a logic circuit and does not drive the motor directly. The switch appears good, but the...- jasowiii

Transfer case motor does not work 4wd
My transfer case motor does not work. I can switch in and out using a wrench to turn the shaft on the transfer case and 4wd work great. I installed a new transfer case motor and it did not help.:dunno Any advice? Which fuses are related? Jim 2000 Superduty w/esof- jasowiii
